The article should be added. A student who says "la casa" when only "casa" is appropriate needs to wake up to themself.

Adding the article is not always a good idea, as students think that saying "house" is "LA casa" but it is not. "house" is "casa" NOT "LA casa". It is key for students to learn when to use LA and when not to, as in many instances you do not put it in Spanish. Thanks for your comments. Julio
