  • "Only after the last tree has been cut down, Only after the last river has been poisoned, Only after the last fish has been caught, Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten."

Well... It's already happening right in front of our eyes

  • This is one of my favorite songs and the artwork is very awesome!

  • Dago Te love this tune

  • I'm so glad, proud, and grateful that I come from these great people.

  • Native american women are very beautiful.

  • "We Americans" ? "land from the natives"? !!! Speak for yourself! This was THEIR land FIRST. "Go live with them." NO! Why don't you go back to Europe or wherever the hell your ancestors came from? I may most of European background myself, but I'm not one bit proud of what whites did to people in this country, or the land. This place and these people were beautiful until my damn culture messed it up!

  • We Americans laugh in the reserves and the land from the natives and those who want to go to live with them

  • @tekilamarco You laugh at them have u ever met any of them or got to know them well i have they are great folkes and people i care about a lot so go laugh but could u laugh at them face to face love to see that ur not even an American the natives are the Americans ur just an imigrant ur in their country remember that

  • @tekilamarco You can laugh but the natives are having the last laugh the Mohawks now are chasing whites from land they took .people like you give America a bad name Do you know any natives well if you dont maybe you should you'l find they are great people and i am proud to be inlove with an Apache warrior i would not change what i have with him and the others for anything or any one in this world

  • @nokiannie Thank you for standing up for our people. I am Apache and I'm proud of it. I do not like what the whites did to us but it can't be changed. Now all we can do is deal with those who try to talk big. However they forget that we were on this land first. They may have taken our land but we will always be the true owners. I also thank any others who have also stood up for us.

  • @ApacheAvoyel Apache Dago Te my friend .I wouldn't br here today if it wasn't for the spirits of my Apache friends danohsoni nnee itisgo àdat'eehi do ba shil gozhoo if the spelling aint so good im just learning Apache but i hope you understood what i was trying to say the educated people dont laugh just people who know nothing about the culture or the truth about the indinginous warriors please stay intouch with me Apache okay you are loved by me always

  • @tekilamarco Just to let you know that not all Americans are cold hearted enough to laugh at Native Americans. Remember that we were on this land first. You may have taken our land but we will always be the true owners. I'm sure you'd be proud of what the whites did to us due to the fact that you have no heart and no soul. Go back home you disrespectful immigrant.

  • felicidades por los videos con musica de los indios espero pongan mas al escuchar se siente la tranquilidad muchas gracias atodo el equipo de pproduccion

  • magnifica musica.... maravilhosa , explendida a verdadeira musica indiana... Meu respeito e saldação há esse povo ...

  • Its a Sami song called Normo Jovnna and its sung by Terje Tretnes. The Sami are from northern Europe.

  • Too beautiful song I like Indian &é It is too Sad!

  • this song is so peaceful i love it

  • This is almost funny. This is actually a recording made by a Norwegian Sámi (Laplander), Terje Tertnes of Karasjok, for Dutch television. Virgin used the recording without permission, and portrayed it as an Indian chant. Virign is currently facing litiation for gross copyright violation. Sámi joik and Indian chanting is quite distinct. Don't let yourself be fooled by Virgin's video.

  • can you explain a little more? this isn't native american? there are several versions of this!

  • This song is presented as a native American chant, however the main vocals are an authentic Sami joik ("Normo Jovnna" by Terje Tretnes), recorded in 1994 by Dutch Channel 4 during an interview as an example of a Joik. Virgin released this song in 2000

Look up their song here on YouTube under AIGI "Normo Jovnna".

  • How sad, we have to steal and destroy everything we see...

  • It really makes me angry that virgin would do that...thanks for letting us know. I was able to go and research the Sami people and learned much about their culture. Beautiful.

  • The way you expressed yourself along with your videos in your page said it all about yourself.

Sad you can't really have a decent comment.

  • Nope, unlike you, I am not a troll..

And unlike you, I am Native American, so corporations like Virgin Records making a profit out of two different cultures is just wrong.

    Troll.

  • @NostalgicDays88 shut the fuck up don't be typing bullshits idiot that song comes from south america the language is quechua obviously native not people from the north not native

  • @ANDREW1994ization NO it's not, and I can see English is not your first language by the way you type. If you knew and fully understood English then you'd know. But you only seem ignorant either way, which is bad because your first reaction is to insult what you don't understand. That's something that I wouldn't do.

  • If you have access to iTunes music store, you can search for Normu Jovnna by Angelin Tytöt. It was published a year prior to this. Or look for Normo Jovnna by aigitheband on YouTube.

  • amazing

  • The song is extremly beautiful.Thank you and God bless you for posting it.

  • nice song i listen to it almost every day before and after school and before going to bed makes my day wonderfull thank you for posting it

  • You have nice pictures. I respect and admire your culture.

  • 4.58 on this tune pause /read/digest and then reflect !!

  • written like a true bureaucrat, go back to your ice sleep of a million years, one day your native sun will come, start praying and one day the ice will melt

  • This is not native American chanting, but the 'joik' of Europe's last indigenous population, the Sámi people (aka Laplanders). The man joiking is from Kárášjohka in northern Norway. The Sámi joik is Europe's oldest surviving vocal tradition.

Virigin Record is facing litigation for IP rights violation. They have used the music without the singer's permission, and falsely portrayed it as native American.

  • this music is so good to listen to. just wondering what the lyrics mean?? thanks.

  • The lyrics is a personal Sami joik "Normo Jovvna", about a person called "John Normo".

  • The lyrics are deleted by Virign Records.

    Garra lea mu Jovnna

    Galge geavahit juo

    dan guhkes ráigeruovddi

    go aiddo gálbái áigun

    dan stuorra guovzza geassit

  • Hey,

    wich language is this?

would you like to translate this in english?

    thank you

  • strong was my John

    we two shall use

    the long drill

when right the calf I shall

    drag the big bear

The language is northern Sámi, spoken by indidgenous laplanders in Norway, Sweden and Finland.

The man singing is Terje Tretnes of Karasjok, Norway.

  • @sturlamolden: yeas, and the chant is Sámi, not Native American! It tells about the great bear hunter Normo Jovna, living in the borderline region of Finnish and Norwegian Lapland!

    Tough was my Jovna

    had to use

    that long rifle

as with a calf he planned

    that big bear to attract

  • @lauoks Ah, that makes sence. Ráigeruovddi is a rifle, "an iron tool with a hole in it." I'm used to calling a rifle "rihkku", and that confused me :-)

    Enjoy the music :-)

  • beautiful pictures , great jop

  • Beautiful just beautiful I love how it shows the connection between the Native people to the 4 leggeds and winged ones. I would love to see more connection with Nature and with all races showing we see no color and no religion we respect all people. Why I say this is because I know if anyone can do this you can. It is time for the Rainbow Worriors of peace between all races and colors. We ase all brothers and sisters in this world. Love and Peace Spiritwomen

  • very welldone i love the pics and it very touching to the heart.

  • This is done very nicely I enjoyed all the pics you know I have alot of the same pics hangin in my home. But alot I don't nice to see fresh new ones. Ya did a very good job I could never match it. I'm sure many will be blessed to see it many times over as I will I added it to my favorites. I pray this is the beginning of your growing spiritual walk with the Creator so I hope to be seeing many more. I also hope to be seeing you fancy shawl dance by Summer. Blessings and prayers Spiritwomen
