  • you gotta watch this on lbu ray

  • This is kind of like what Fincher did with Enya's "Orinoco Flow" for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, although the latter is more along the lines of A Clockwork Orange and "Singing In the Rain".

Fincher is a genius, and it's little bouts like these that prove it.

  • i dont think it was arthur leigh..he did not look that smart

  • @crrtpf Allen had a 136 IQ in real life. He was very intelligent. But no... he wasn't the Zodiac.

  • he didnt even get a chance to fuck her

  • This is made more haunting with the film also ending with this song.

  • Oh ya.... Guitar solo by zodiac!

  • why didn't they just drive away lol?

  • @taraannh1 i believe they thought it was a police officer spot lighting them for being at a "lovers point" they could not see anything due to both the headlights on bright and the flashlight that the killer was holding. Its easy to come to simple solutions such as driving away when you look at things after the fact, but when its happening at that very moment, only your primal instincts are active, if you're lucky.

  • i didnt watch this movie but what is so perfect about this scene? obviously, i didnt find it good, it is unusual than normal but not that good

  • 1- stop the car behind them

    2- turn off the light

3- turn in the light and go

    4- go back

    5- then enjoy with killing

finally the zodiac is really smart and scare the people and cops

  • SHE KNEW WHO'S CAR THAT WAS. TOO BAD SHE DIED.

  • I ask myself this question all the time. How come Fincher was nominated for Benjamin Button and not for Zodiac when Zodiac was a much better film?

  • This song played now and again at the end..hmmm

  • she's a hoe

  • Does anyone know what the kid says when he says something like "I saw that car....."

  • @mattd687 He says "Was that car at the drive-in?" Then "I saw that car at Mr Ed's..." (Mr Ed's was the name of the drive-in).

  • @vivena9

I have certainly seen more films than you ever have.

  • I'm looking for information about this scene to settle an argument. The whole scene in the city they're driving through is CGI. But the young murdered couple in the scene...they are real actors shot on blue screens right? I mean the actors themselves...they are real people...right?

  • @xraycat30

    Of Course they are. lol!

  • @xraycat30 The blood was added digitally after the scene was shot with the live actors to save time.

  • @xraycat30 Wait, what city? This movie starts in the suburbs, doesn't it?

  • @xraycat30

This particular scene is entirely real. Just the backgrounds of them driving were back-projected.

Remembering that a film script, when prompted to shoot, divides into three distinct names:

Sequences, that comprises a number of scenes, that comprises a number of shots, meaning camera positions or lens changings.

    Best

  • @ofotopedro thx for the reply!

  • Fincher chose a perfect song for this scene. So perfect that I am now afraid of this song. If it pops into my head when i'm trying to sleep at night, it freaks me out.

  • First time I saw this was at the movies, and I had no idea what to expect - the most I knew about the real-life case was that they (partly) based Dirty Harry off of it and the Zodiac was never caught.

Definitely one of the best openings I've seen.

  • Thanks for putting the song name and artist in the description. I first saw this I liked that song a lot and this is a great way of introducing the Zodiac Killer.

  • BEST FILM EVER!!... CLASSIC!.. the biggest shame ever was that it didnt even get nominated for a single oscar.. wtf?.. should have easily won best adapted screenplay

  • Did you add the music?

  • @BrickLaneBetty

No! This is the original scene.

  • The women who had the baby, the actor's father was the lead singer of the song.

  • @Medafets Lead singer? He wrote it and sang it. He's a solo artist. Donavan.

  • did you get any problems because of the copyright?

  • what song is this

  • @myelite100 hurdy gurdy man

  • 0:41 "Fuck off and die!" Loser.

  • one of the best movies I've seen -- didn't get enough credit... awesome film.

  • @cindyinnew

its awesome on blueray. Its worth to buy.

  • @Firgasz

    I will take your recommendation!

  • just watched today. awesome movie

  • wow she has a husband? she looks 18 tops

  • in the movie she´s 22 years old.

  • I got goosebumps here, crazy.. the song fits perfectly.

  • He's coming back....

  • Haunting would be the word to describe this scene.

  • i dont know why, but the way in which Zodiac walks back to his car, it implies that he is thinking to himself "and that's good enough for now"

  • @TheCrisisKings If you had said 'I like to think to myself' instead of 'it implies' I would have called you a very disturbed man...

  • at the start it is mouth from one tree hill OMG

  • This is one of the creepiest scenes over.

  • The basement scene is even better, but this is way up there as well.

  • @knutsensen

the scene with "Mr Vaughn"? Do you think that there is a link between him and zodiac, because he said that it was his handwriting.

  • i love this movie and i feel like i am the only one out of my friends that does
