  • Holy shit this is creepy im high while watching this btw

  • Amber alert at 1:50 !

  • 9:30 "...she told the usher in the theatre; and this man won't bother anyone again..."

Good lord! What awesome powers does this usher possess?

Now I'm scared of the pervert and the usher.

...don't cross the usher... least you find yourself in the cornfield...

  • Do NOT hang around the restrooms!

  • Seriously, if I was growing up watching these movies, I'd never leave the house. This is scary stuff.

  • Did anyone else say; "No Karen noooo!" Out load?

  • Sid Davis fucked me up for life.

  • that area that the little boy was playing in....before they built atlantic station in atlanta there used to be an abandoned steel mill there. i used to wanna go so bad cause it was around the corner from my house and looked like a good place to explore. looked just like the place that little boy was at. real creepy looking. of course she'd never let me go, and in hindsight it was for good reason. i guess as a kid you don't think sometimes

  • karen also should have been walking with friends. i dont care when this is , she too young to be walking that far alone

  • its great that the woman called the police, but she should have intervened BEFORE she even got out of the store with him. They always say NEVER get in the car or kiss your ass goodbye!!

  • People who abduct children aren't simply mentally ill. And mental illness is a very broad term which means so many different things that it is insufficient by itself in explaining the behaviour of child molesters.

  • @shrikechan I agree. They are criminally ill. It isn't like some half-retarded person abducting someone to have a friend to talk to that they feel is on their level. No, there is criminal intent in most of these cases, usually of a sexual or sadistic nature.

  • Naturally the creeps will be at the candy shop waiting to pounce on their victims.

  • 3:28 to 3:41 How long does it take TWO cops to put handcuffs on ONE guy? Jeez. Had no trouble takin' the guy down....lol

  • @SocialClimax depends on how slow the day is I have seen 4 squad cars responding to a helmet violation

  • Love the works of Sid Davis!

Gee, that stranger who bought her candy looked so nice.

  • I WANT THAT CAR

  • What's the charge, officer? Is it a crime to give a kid candy and a ride home? Honi soit qui mal y pense.

  • Wasn't this orignally in color?

  • O.M.G. Females are as stupid as Males are depraved. . . we complete each other!

  • Crazy as it sounds, the movie scenario happened to me when I was a kid too. I did the same thing as the little girl though... got up & out of that seat! Shaken, I went up to the stand to buy popcorn and soda I guess. Anyway, some people must have noticed what had happened to me, because they brought the stranger to me and asked me if the man was bothering me. Something told me to say yes, and he was thrown out of the movie theater.

  • Until she met up with Charlie and his Family

  • Check out the 1970's version of "The Strange Ones" I posted. Bad 70's fashions; same soundtrack by Mrs. Perkins...

  • wow, culver city has changed a lot.

  • 8:47

    RAPE TIME!

  • Beware of men in suits who drive Corvair station wagons.

  • who the HELL is hitchhiking at 8 years old????

  • @alexp9999 - It was done at one time, believe it or not. At 8 years old I regularly took NYC transit to music school in Manhattan and when we soon moved to an upstate area with no mass transit, I would regularly hitchhike to the basketball courts, the movies.... anywhere.... it was an acceptable form of transportation. It only started to be outlawed right about 1980 or so with new drug laws.

  • "She told the usher, and this man won't bother anyone again."

Yeah, because the manager and two more ushers took the guy out back and beat the living shit outta him with ball bats, before turning his sorry perv ass over to the cops!

...at least I hope that's what they meant.

  • i almost got abducted i was 10 when it happend now im 13 so he is in prison

  • @masterchiefjoe I was kidnapped when I was 8 and held for about three days...My mom did not believe even when I showed her the brusies on my legs and abdomen. Anywho, if I even see the SOB again I will rip off his balls and make him eat them!!!!

  • @MezHorseStar you have my sympathies and now im 14 years old

  • Compared to today it's almost hard to believe things like this happened 50 or 60 yrs ago, but of course they did.

  • Hell, I'd give it up for a bag of M&Ms.

  • This is obvious communist propaganda designed to spread fear and distrust among Americans.

People must have been stupid back in the day.

  • Gee, that little girl looks just like me when I was her age.

How proud the people of Culver City must be.

  • why the fuck does everyone have notepads?

  • They have notepads because they are the 'authorities'. This helps us distinguish between them & the 'strange ones'.

If I were a kid watching this, I'd think that being 'strange' was the crime (molestation wasn't mentioned. What else could they be talking about?), & so that would leave me vulnerable to the baseball coach, the karate instructor, the Boyscout Master, the priest.... cause those were all 'regular guys', & 'authority figures'. I feel sorry for innocent people who were 'strange'.

  • If these were made today, they would have to show the "deviant" in more realistic scenarios, i.e. Boy Scout Leader, Sports Coach, Teammate, Co-worker, Uncle, Cousin, because everyone knows that a large majority of these cases; the perp. is a close acquaintence of the family; not a stranger.

  • You're so right, avp0713. When I was growing up, it was the karate instructors, little league coaches and preachers who were the pedos. My parents told me to watch out for low-rent 'authority figures', because they were frequently sickos. The way this film is worded, it would lead people to believe that 'strange' (gay) people were the same as molestors (although the film never says anything about molestation, so the impression is that 'strangeness' is some horrible threat in itself).

  • @avp0713 But some time it may be a stranger. Like "I have candy in the car"...or even "have you seen my lost puppy?"

  • @MezHorseStar - absolutely, but parents are always telling their kids to watch out for people offering candy and the obvious "ruses". Parents often don't tell their kids to watch out for the coach or the teacher or even a police officer, which BTW just happened in Chester, NY in April, 2010.

  • @avp0713 . Boy Scout Leader, Sports Coach, Teammate, Co-worker, Uncle, Cousin - and, top of the list, Catholic priest.

  • @avp0713 You forgot to mention priests.

  • @avp0713 it's true that a lot of child sexual molestation and rape is done by friends of the family, but strangers trying to abduct kids is also a "realistic" scenario (still happens all the time) and the stranger is far more likely than the scout leader, coach, relative etc. to murder the victim.

  • @avp0713 The same was true then, of course.

  • Seriously, after watching a lot of these movies (most of which I used to think were a joke), I can see why the general American populous has such a twisted morality.

  • This man won't bother anyone again...

    yeah, right :-/

  • Karen can remember her whole teleophone number but can't remember not to go with "strange ones"?

  • what can ya say there didn't do much planing on the making of the video

  • @nancy4366 It is not about smarts or remembering, but giving into temptation and instant gratification.

  • Love how the cop write the description on a "while you were out" note pad.

  • so wierd... love the kids helping the other kids's out though... and the importance of "knowing your phone number"... that's

funny...kid's today have cell phones and mace.

  • If I saw this as a kid, I don't know if I'd ever leave the house again.

  • Around 2:48ish when the mother is waiting its 4:00, but when the mother picks her up later the clock says 12:15.

  • And at 10:14 in the video, the clock says 12: 15.

  • 10:03 - 10:09, I mean. Sorry.

  • LMFAO every single one of these videos has someone writing down the god damn license plate number of the "strange ones"

  • THAT'S JUST RACIST!!! Like all movie-going, playground-stalking, candy-gobbling drunks in really cool station wagons who happen to stop for ride-hitching little kids are white. I call bullshit! Strange Ones unite!!!

  • Who's really to blame the STRANGER or the CANDY sugar is evil !!

  • What a preminition. The term "Strange One" is used for Michael Jackson.

  • Another great educational film from Sid Davis. I hope they are still playing these films in the classroom.

  • Was that irony? ^^ You HAVE seen the one about homosexuals, right?

  • Why Is It that Strangers Alway Have The Best Candy!
