@SuperSportSS freakin awesome! i hope to have the extra money for one someday. for sure, and i'll buy one in a heartbeat. my first car was an '89 v8 rs with t-tops... siiigh...
@Novantii yes, put a sticker on the windows that says, "weight limit. 150 lbs." Now all those fat 80's chicks wont be trying to ride in your shit anymore.
@87irocz350TPI there is a single key in there, you see it whne he starts it up... it appears like nothing is there because you are expecting to see a set of keys dangling, not a singular key with no ring sitting there...
well the 3rd gen camaros look awesome, i mean, just look at the black one shown here, i agree when some remark that the stock numbers of the engine were not through the roof, but the engines have giant potential when you do a lil' aftermarked engineering to them, to me they epitomize their portion of the great 80's , an exceptional era that i associate a lot of wonderful memories with.
@Crosisborg the stats dont lie buddy... 305 powered irocs with a max hp of 220 and using a 2.5 4cyl in the base model with 85hp was pretty shitty. The 80's was deff a low point in performance history... hell the corvette even bottomed out at 170hp in the early to mid 80's
You tend to forget that the 305 was still a good base for cheap horsepower. GM had to downrate the ponies by law but made the car upgradable. Add in the styling and handling and the 80s musclw cars were great. I would take an IROC over any 90s or 2000s camaro or stang. Hell the 2010 stang still handles like a 60s lead sled.
@Crosisborg the mustang is just shit period... the ls1 powered f bodies r in a leauge above the tpi powered f bodies. The 2010 camaro is just nuts. The 80's f bodies r just cheap to own cuz they shit
@Crosisborg Yea its the fastest and most powerful production camaro every built and gets 25 mpg and is selling 2 to 1 compared to the very popular mustang. Yea thats a fail alright. Give me a fucking break
Very nice comercial i had a 1986 z28 that i sold for a 1972 and sold it too but now i got a 1988 iroc z convertible that needs a lot of work but i'll make it
Last month I drove my 1986 Camaro IROC-Z 28 across America started in Connecticut then New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, then back to Nevada Las Vegas and Arizona, New Mexico, Texas Oklahoma Arkansas Tennessee Virginia Washington DC Maryland Delaware new jersey and back to New York then Connecticut ... and I filmed the whole trip...
I WAS BETTER THAN SEX...Okay I exaggerating, but not by much :-)
I love 3rd generation Camaros. My friends enjoy making fun of me for liking them. They say that 3rd gen Camaros are way too 80s for them. I say who cares!
well if you think about it ask anyone from the 80s who is older and they all will tell you that the 80s were alot better time when people actually had fun plus the music was alot better than now also. and the cars had more charcter.rock on
i love my 86 iroc i used to hate 80's camaros untill i saw this car completely changed my mind but i still think 80's music is terrible especially hair metal....i hate music today too
i wanted one so bad, couldn't find on close enough to pick up that wasn't rediculously overpriced by greedy dealerships, or trashed by private owners. had to settle for a '01 trans am... but i still want a '87 iroc-z more than anything, awsome cars
They really are...I had a black 87 IROC back in the 90s/early 2000s and I feel stupid for letting her go...Everytime I see footage like this I get nostalgic.
I've got a Lexus now,but I tell you,I still want my IROC back!!!
i would never get rid of my camaro for an import, yuk. nothing like the feeling of taking the tops out on a warm day and driving down the thruway at 70 mph in my nostalgic car. i love her, its allot of fun. i just miss it in the winter, i dont drive her 6 months of the year. salt it way to bad to be driving her. im 28 years old and will probably have this car or another 3rd gen camaro as long as i can.
i just got an 86 Z28, i started it up for the first time yesterday......i couldnt help but smile at the sound of raw power. it just sucks that i need to put an exhaust system on it before i get it inspected
lmao raw power??? the iroc had like 200 hp in 86 and the z28 had 170. Im sry dude but there is normally aspirated 4cyl on the market that make better numbers than that
@yurifiero the 4 cylinders only made that power 20 years after unless your talking about the prelude wich still weighed 3300 pounds about same as an f body or modern corvette

Sorry, they are not shit. They have style. The 2010 is a poor attempt at copying the 1st gen and it fails.

Those IROC wheels look best when they're the original 16" type, not these crappy chrome 20"+ wanna be versions that are out now.
brobinson75 5 years ago 5
Hey, those 20" are dope people drool when they see them, thats why i am getting them on my 92 RS Camaro, they are bad
Chinunit22 5 years ago
I agree 16" are way better looking plus the gator back tires are barowd from the 1984 corvette plus the corvette design team also designs the camaros
