Bless you both for raising Oskar. With his unfortunate loss of sight he could have died at a very young age. I am so happy and thankful that there are people like you who have kind hearts to raise such a happy young cat. I hope you keep adopting more cats with disabilities, you are both very loving cat owners and it warms my heart to Oskar, the blind cat, to have such a happy and rewarding life. Thank you. :)

@squidballs44 He was born with no eyes -- and his eye lids are basically fused together (there is a very shallow pocket where the eye would normally be). It's actually not that gross (at least the way I made it sound). He is very healthy and happy despite the missing sense of sight.

He was outside when I was watching over him, but he got out of the house somehow and he was drived over him by a car. So I feel the pain everday. (He was named Jack)

@MrSmile14344 Thank you for your kind words! Oskar is 100% blind, and he's been that way since birth. I don't do anything to train him, but I do want him to walk on a harness. He just figures most things out on his own. Take care!

@thekajusbonus He walks down a indoor hallway about twice per day (it's close to a city block in length). He gets some good exercise and run time that way. It's too cold to take him outside to a park (on a harness of course), but he will get some outdoor time come Spring and Summer. We will never turn him into an outdoor cat, however.

Say, Oskar seems to always know where he is going. I'd imagine he'd run into things every now and then, but it never shows in the videos. Have you had many problems with that? How does he know where to go, especially when there are suddenly things on the ground that weren't there before? (=*.*=) <3<3<3

@sylnanu He knows the layout of our place really well -- he never runs into anything unless an interior door is not open all the way. Even then he slows down before approaching the doorway. He will bonk into a wall from time to time when he's walking the hallway outside our place and someone startles him and he panics. In those cases he just shakes it off like nothing ever happened. I am sure once we move he'll take a few light bumps to the head readjusting to the new layout. Take care!
