It's unlikely that you'll see violet used in a show because it has such low visibility for the power output. The best I can do is point you at some colour corrected photographs that I took. They give a reasonable indication of the colour but don't really give an impression of how fuzzy and odd it looks.
You have expensive tastes... White and blue are among the two most expensive types of lasers. Good broadband white lasers are not common. Blue lasers are commonly either argon (for a cyan blue) or DPSS for a deeper blue.
Have you ever seen violet lasers (405nm) ?? That's a really awesome colour for a laser and because it's right on the edge of the visible spectrum, it looks really odd because it's difficult for the human eye to bring into proper focus. BluRay lasers are at 405nm.

Some of the blue lighting in the photos in this video is actually violet lighting not blue - The CCD is not capable of rendering the correct colour even though it is quite sensitive to that wavelength (significantly more so than the human eye).
