  • P.S. Don't go ti Wikipedia those aren't necessarily true things what they say there nor are they proven true. Basically Wikipedia is all opinions

  • I have High functioning autism and there so many things I wish I could do but sadly I cant be that type of person I want to be...

  • Message from REDEMPTION: I have 3 questions, what type or kind of class would a child diagnosed with HFA be in? And second Do kids with HFA recieve diciplines or lunch detentions at school? And third will kids with HFA be able to get through middle school 6th 7th and 8th grade?

  • Message from REDEMPTION: And also I've never heard the term Bipolar disorder in my life. Is this a new type of HFA?

  • Message from REDEMPTION: I SUPPORT THIS VIDEO BECAUSE I HAVE HFA AS WELL, AND ALSO PDD-NOS. IM HAVING TROUBLE THINKING OF HOW SOMEONE LIKE YOU ME AND OTHERS WITH THIS SPECTRUM WILL BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE. And one more thing how do you share this video with the world, because this is fantastic.

  • I was diagnosed with HFA (i have bipolar as well) in middle school (I'm in my early 20's now), and even though I work in charities everyone thinks I'm mean and rude. I don't even realize that I'm being that way. Thanks for posting this video. It lets me know there are other people out there who struggle with social skills.

  • i thought it was great what u said in the video and i applaud u

  • Im a high-functioning autistic person and I agree with this video cuase that is the same thing 2 me. I wish they will find a cure for autism.

  • i'm glad autism isn't something which should or can be cured, i think from what i've seen watching other autism related videos, IGNORANCE is actually the ailment which needs to be cured.

Too many people label us as rude and insensitive, especially when they don't understand about autism or see autism as being completely "spasticated" in a lot of peoples eyes and forget there's a whole range of magnitudes of autism. i find slang difficult to grasp at times as it doesn't relate to the real word.

  • Very interesting and informative

  • Interesting stuff, but dude, come on, the credits took up half the video. lol.

  • Being that I am in electronics I have started to feel like "Normal" people could be characterized as thinking in digital, as with me I would classify my thinking as analog. Instead of a rough rigid fast up and down state of zeros and ones, I would say that my thinking is more smooth flowing gentle ups and downs, able to be any value between two voltages instead of being a rigid full blast on or a dead off.

I have no idea if people can relate to this, especially if you're not in electronics.

  • tomhbwc don't mistake autism with giftedness

the "problems" you name are also problems where many people with high intellegence stumble upon

  • I just like to watch da video cause of da music.well......da music in the very begginning. the rest is very weird....

  • the music can also be heard in tomb raider 1 (on playstation)

    it's the title theme lol

  • Yes, so true, so hard to explain to people, but we are unique, different but full of quality to bring into this world!

  • i have it too. it sux. i hope theres a cure.

  • i really do have it i have high functioning.

  • I have to disagree with you on this. I hope there ISN'T a cure. I don't want people like me to be eliminated. Yea there are all kinds of issues with being Autistic. But, it's who I am. I am not something to be "cured".

  • ur right im sorry for making a deal otta this.

  • The start of the video really got my attention mainly becuase I do have Aspergers and I am happy to say that one of my special intrest is the Half Life series.

  • even with my discontented views on having slight autism, I must thank you tomhbwc for putting this video up to inform others of this aggrivating condition. The worst cause of ridicule is the ignorance and arrogance of those who don't understand people like us. How pathetic that a lot of people with normal cognitive abilities who understand people socially and emotionally often take their knowledge and use it as a banner of arrogance and superiority over those less fortunate.

  • I have high functioning autism as well- P.D.D-NOS. I really admire my fellow slightly autistic brethren, for they put up with a lot more shit from people with normal cognitive abilities. However I must say I often think of slight autism as a curse, a curse I would not wish on my own enemies. To not be able to understand other people socially and emotionally can be very deppressing, and can easily make you malcontented and bitter. How can you trust or like people if you can't understand them?

  • I used to think of it as a curse too. Sometimes I still do. However, I remind myself of what comedian Christopher Titus said:"If you're normal, the crowd will accept you, but if you're deranged, they will make you their leader."

  • Point taken, I suppose it is about perception as well. Perhaps the term "curse" is a bit harsh, let's call it a severely annoying predicament. I call it a curse because it causes you seem eccentric among people, by which they can easily mock you, and it the sense that you have an extremely hard time doing things that involve being social, so it is an aggrivating hinderance

  • @matthias66 Doesn't that mean you could easily become a murderer? This means that you are similar to a robot? No feelings? What exactly is it?

  • @gtas123

  • Thank you--we need this video on Youtube

  • Thank you for posting this video. My 16 yr old son has high functioning Autism. He is a joy to me. We play video games together. P.S. Thank you for using the Tomb Raider music - one of my favorites!

  • Your very welcome. It's nice that you and others actually like (and comment on) my video. I didn't think anyone would pay attention to it. P.S. I happen to be a video gamer myself. P.P.S. My sister likes the tomb raider theme song too.

  • It was a very good video. I just sent you a link to a video of a game review I did. Hope you like it.
