I think the reason you had your fair share of thumbs downs is because this video is just a promotion for an opt in list. You gave some good details about your life such as how you don't work a 9-5 job and such but in this video, you did not give any tips for becoming a YouTube partner.

Alright George, the questions I have are, How sincere and honest are Google & Youtube? I've been burned several times by corps in the past. At the moment my trust is very low in regards to corporate agendas but only because I do not see very much honesty or concern for the individual. I was brought up in World where trust and honesty was a given. The breaking of trust through lies and deceit have made me Worldly Wise and able to see the whole picture. I am sure this is true with you also.
I've had to restart my youtube channel because of 2 errors I made in the past. We all learn, but the content on my 1st channel also had 32,000 hits a day and was moving exponentially. I have the ability to see mon ami. I know what people are looking for, and I know you do as well. Remember, there is a line that cannot be crossed in the community, and once a person crosses that line, the trust is gone. So, the question is, how far is Google & Youtube prepared to go?
I can appreciate the fact that people are looking for either a job or extra source of income. But lets be honest, there is no Youtube secrets! The vast majority of Youtubers enjoy this channel for the entertainment!

@MzProgressive YT has changed the entire layout of the site. In general they are trying to improve the site, but in a lot of ways they are trying to reduce the social media flavor. if you notice, youtube will be leaning towards more produced content in the future

Now THIS is Weird - I can see everthing in this "drop down" comments page - (the old "view all" mode) but not a WORD on the original page under the video.
Any clues on why that might be?

@MzProgressive just a guess, but potential advertisers can associate comments with the video and we all know, the comments section can get pretty wild...I think youtube is trying to reduce the exposure of comments because of that reason

I've had to restart my youtube channel because of 2 errors I made in the past. We all learn, but the content on my 1st channel also had 32,000 hits a day and was moving exponentially. I have the ability to see mon ami. I know what people are looking for, and I know you do as well. Remember, there is a line that cannot be crossed in the community, and once a person crosses that line, the trust is gone. So, the question is, how far is Google & Youtube prepared to go?

I can appreciate the fact that people are looking for either a job or extra source of income. But lets be honest, there is no Youtube secrets! The vast majority of Youtubers enjoy this channel for the entertainment!
Working for a living, finding a job and providing for your family, can just plain suck.
Maybe we should keep the two separated.

look folks... i wouldn't put G4T on par with SXEPHIL just yet... but george is smart, articulate, and has a knack for reporting on the ground level in the 'hot' new entertainment niche genre called "economic collapse (doom & gloom)"... tap into people's fears and watch your YT audience grow... good luck george... i always say "ride the wave"... most people don't understand the YT business dynamics... but in the end i really do enjoy your videos... Color me there. I just made a public comment at our county's first tea party - I'm starting to get some recognition and it's good. I think I'm on a roll but I've never done anything like it before. I watch, I listen, I think, then I'll say something if I feel I can enlighten someone who didn't.
I'm unemployed, plenty of time. I feel I have healthy perspective and want to save the world or at least my little hemisphere of it.

Now that money is involved, George, I am afraid that is the end. It is one thing to have an opinion and another to be working for Google, a bastard corporation. So that's how they're going to tame the Internet....pay people to not make waves, and just supply lame, ad-friendly content, like "LOOK AT MY NEW WHITE CAT!!", so that corporations can still make more money than us, which ultimately controls us. Meet the new boss...same as the old boss.

@powergirl901 that was the one thing I was disappointed with. I came to a big understanding on how Google operates. Think of it as a blob that constantly tries to replicate itself on a cellular level. If you can make money they will scale you. If you are going to hang on as a content provider you have to start thinking how to monetize my content

They had documentaries and original music videos and original comedy sketches playing on their internal servers, kinda gives you an idea of the content they approve of

IDaho first state signed a bill against the health care reform bill. Meaning Idaho will sue the fed over mandatory health care payments, or taxes to keep the Fed alive. 36 other states have the same type of bill in the works. Before the Congress even signs any health care reform into law.

@MzProgressive YT has changed the entire layout of the site. In general they are trying to improve the site, but in a lot of ways they are trying to reduce the social media flavor. if you notice, youtube will be leaning towards more produced content in the future

Agreed! (That they are systematically reducing the "social media flavor") I really do NOT like that they put "recommended" videos under a channel page INSTEAD of the Channel host's "favorites."
Now THIS is Weird - I can see everthing in this "drop down" comments page - (the old "view all" mode) but not a WORD on the original page under the video.
Any clues on why that might be?
Thanks for the tip on the Canon - They've always made great cameras.

@MzProgressive just a guess, but potential advertisers can associate comments with the video and we all know, the comments section can get pretty wild...I think youtube is trying to reduce the exposure of comments because of that reason

@johan404 I heard that you get $2.50 for each 1000 views. So if you get a Million Views, that is like $2,500. I think most people could live a middle class lifestyle 30K a year. All ya gotta do is be young, good looking, funny, and have some video editing and chip monk voice skills. I think Copper Cab should become a partner.
