I've got a little theory about music, and I'd like to hear some opinions about it.

There are, bluntly put, two different "sides" among people who like music. The other side is the side of lyrics. They probably listen to pop, rap and such styles of music, because they like the music for the lyrics. Then the other side is the melody side. They listen to music because of the music itself and they don't care much about lyrics. They probably listen to metal, trance, techno and such.

Here's my opinion.

Interesting points you made. You're right about the two different "sides" of music, and peoples taste in their music to pick from, follow it, leave it for something other, etc. Lyrics, like poets Vs (I call it) a beat or tune, like trance. I recently asked myself same thing. All Music has to have a message, story, etc, can't be random, even Dubstep not 'random', art-style personality be-hide creating it. I like (n hate) my own taste in music, in some tracks
