Having a guide dog from GDB is a goal I would like to accomplish.
MR Scottish Piper, could you please tell me about your experience at OCB? I'm thinking about going there for more training in independent living skills.
Actually, she is blind. The term doesn't necessarily mean that the person has absolutely no vision. In fact, many of Guide Dogs for the Blind's clients have some degree of vision, but all are legally blind and benefit from the safety that a Guide Dog provides.
Hah hah I forgot about those dinner chimes too! But hearing them on this vid reminded me of getting my first guide Gerard Dec. 95 SR campus and Fleming March 2000 OR campus. BTW Jimbo is awesome. He cooks such good things. The food in SR is good too!
Oh wow I forgot about the meal chimes until I just heard them! It brings back so many memories. I graduated with my first guide Sophie, a Yellow Lab. from the Oregon campus in 2000. Class OR55. She's semi-retired now, but she's still enjoying life as she always has! The food there was so good that almost the whole class gained wait thanks to Jimbo the cook! Our class was also the first for massages. It was great after a long day!
