I love renditions that have a good sostenuto at the end of each phrase. It creates for me an image of a ballet dancer floating in the air (with a maximum of "hang time" using basketball terminology!)
I am preparing for my Grade 8 (UK Standard) and I have asked for the sheet music for this for christmas for fun. I have already played mozart flute concert in G with my local orchestra so this is just for fun
well it depends what year people started playing in school, i mean i started playing my flute in 5th grade and im in 8th now and learning it with private lessons, and it kinda depends on the person as well, do they have the patience to play it? you know? lol
cool this will be the flute all district solo for this year (i think they are speeding up places for musical sounds but it get's annoying when i'm trying to replicate them though)
well, it was an EASY 6. it was in the trinity board's orchestral extracts, which you can play instead of scales. they are meant to be easier than typical pieces, but it helps build repetoire and expose to orchestral solo flute music...
Where I live, it's a level 3. Can you believe that? This isn't exactly the easiest piece to play. That is, it has so many little details to take care of if it's to give Bizet any credit. It's an elegant piece.
Listening to and playing along with this video has finally gotten me excited about playing my flute again after ten years. (Playing alone is so boring and lonely!) What a beautiful sound to aspire to. Thanks.
I play it on sax too (tenor) and I'm playing it for the school's solo recital. I'm playing Bouree Anglaise for a flute solo. This song (L'Arlesienne I mean) is so pretty sounding, I love it.
Harikasınız Bülent Hocam tebrik ediyorum inşallah bende ilerde sizin gibi ünlü bir yanflütçü olucam James Galway'den sonra en büyük üdolüm sizsiniz...
It's so hard to play, but you play it wonderful and very clear!

Really? I thought it was a 4. It's not difficult enough to be a six...

You can buy these on a smart music and run it through your computer. It will follow you if you have a mic.
