I've heard this a lot. "There's more than 1 way to do this". Sure, as long as you wrap your hands, it can be called another way, but what is the most effective way to wrap your hands, for maximum protection and mobility, that's why everybody is looking for videos ... I think this is the third or fourth time, this guy tries this ...
I stopped wrapping between the knuckles it causes pain and my hands just seem like there not breathing.i realize you must keep the knuckle loose and free and de mobilize the wrist.i no longer feel pain punching a 75lb pound rag filled bag kept outdoors
Thank You So Much! Iv Been Doing Mauy Thai For 3 Years And You Are The First Person Who Has Actually Showed Me How To Do It. Iv Never Got It Till Now.
I have seen at least 10 different videos and everyone is doing it differently. Remember guys, once you know the basics of hand wrapping (which is not too hard to learn) you'll be able to do it your own way.
Same kind of wraps that i use. One thing though, with the finger weaves being so tight and bunched up rather than flattened out, would this not increase damage to the fingers when punching? Especially if you're like me and have the skinny hands of a heroin addict?(No I havent done heroin). Its also strange that ExpertVillage has so many different (and some plainly wrong) styles of handwrapping up. Too many cooks... The best I've seen is 'Boxing Tips : How to Tie Hand Wraps'.
@TheFinalPaladin you can just do 3 loops around the wrist, then do the finger weeving, after that 3 or 4 around your knuckles and then finish it off on the wrist works fine as well ;)
@seblasian i dint say it sucks....and i watched it read who i commented on carefully you just made your self look like a fool not knowing what your talking about
I am having problems with not enough padding around my when I am using the heavy bag. is there a different or special way to wrap to give you a tighter grim and more protection if you have a week wrist,, and what length bandages do you recomend..
@37sktrCZ for the length of the bandage i would buy a 180' for max protection and to strengthen your wrist buy a forearm developer or some forearm exercises will strengthen your wrist to or if you do push ups with your hand in a fist.
@xxzippyxx Wrong you are sir, Everlast has been going on since before you where born. The reason there expensive is cause they work the best and provide better support than anything on the market, so, Guys don't listen to people like this kid. Everlast has all the boxing kickboxing and everything else you need,i tried everything else it doesn't work as good as everlast.
@halo091000 Yea, that would explain why the bottom of my everlast reflex bag flies out whenever I hit it, and the velcro on the wraps I got for 7 bucks from everlast ripped off before a string on my 3 dollars Title wraps ever came loose.
Everlast makes as much high quality products as McDonalds makes great quality food. LOL, just because it's existed longer than I have doesn't mean that the attention to quality remains intact. I'm glad that you got lucky with your products.
i prefer a different way. i fold the end up about 4xs on itself, then fold it in half. that makes a knuckle shield. lay it across then wrap your hand. i only run thru the first and last fingers to help it hold, dont bother with the thumb, just use the excess to go farther down the wrist. its really good cause it allows me to make a tight fist, protects the knuckles, and gives great support. I've broken my knuckles several times in the past, but not since I've been wrapping like this :)
it's preference wither way...and you have to think about what are you doing. All hands are different. Mine for example are like torn in two. My index and middle finger knuckles are way too big for the overall size of my hand and are not aligned with the other 2. My hand is VERY easy to squeeze.
Y broke my right thumb playing tennis...so now i wrap that motherefucker twice. It's so bad sometimes it gets out of place while using the mouse. Just find a wrap that feels right.
I train on my own... I have heavy hands..for my weight.. Never wrapped my hands.. Just broke a finger.. and will be wrapping from here on out... Thank you for the video...
As you're 13, im guessing the training isn't as intense. Im 14, so it would be the same for me. What do you do about running? As in, boxers need to do a lot of running, when do you go, and how often, and for how long, if at all?
personally, i would run at least 2 or 3 miles every day. prefereably one in the morning before you do anything such as work or school or your daily activities, and then one or two in the afternoon depending on how motivated you feel. and no excuses on this.
OH! and for boxing, to get your cardio to go CRAZY, run on the treadmill at roughly anywhere from 6 to 10 miles per hour. run them in as many sessions as a boxing match would go for as long as each round would go.
im 15 and i kinda just started boxing i did muy thai then went to boxing but i run 2 miles a day then jump rope for 3min 15 sets. and then do a crazy ab workout... u dnt need the ab workout unless u want =]
This is probably a dumb question but is there any way to strengthen your hand bones like kickboxers strengthen their shin bones by kicking trees and rollers and stuff??
hey guys, this is a very clear demonstration of how to wrap your hands. also its simple and the correct way to do it. this is where i learnt it from and its always worked fine.. never injured my wrists or knuckles xD
I have 120" hand wraps and I think the guy here used 180". I would suggest these as they are longer enough for this kind of wrap plus they provide better protection than shorter ones. Hope this helps.
thanx buddy thats worked great ive just started and that will save my wrist alot of pain easy to get in your head just did it a few times with you video think its stuck lol take it easy
because it beeps every 3 minutes thats how long the workouts are then u get a 1 minute rest then it beeps again after 1 minute then u workout for 3 mor minutes
no u stupid eddiot whit guy this is not how u wrap ur hands dumb ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like this way since its easily to wrap it too hard and to make a bad blood-circulation. The standard 180 is the best one

to all the people that are saying this sucks or this doesn't work. there are more than 1 way of wrapping hands.
e.g. after a training sess and ur wrist are sore, try wrapping ur hand emphasizing on maximum wrist support. (wrap more "X' on the top of ur hand.)
on the other hand, if ur knuckles are sore after a sess, 3 layers around the knuckles then go between the fingers and then 3 more layers.

You should always buy the 180 kind, coz the 108 are for kids or girly (small) hands.
