Norfork striper fishing using 10' & 12' poles

We were using live shad.

when i was a kid we caught average 24 lb at Bull Shoals average. we didn't catch that many they stopped stocking in the early 80's

Looks like fun. I used to fish a lot, mostly 2ft long Pike out of the Glenmore reservoir in Calgary. Those pike put up a damned good fight. You really MUST have a rear adjustable drag reel. When they get hooked, first thing they do is go streight down into the weeds. I give them some slack or the line breaks. Yea, I had to reel up a few with the weeds too. The idea is to give it slack so it wont snap the line but not too much they go even deeper in the weeds, harder to reel up.

Nice video. I think lake Norfork is one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever been to!
