  • This Eddie Floyd tune from 1967 on the US Stax label might be the template for one of best known riddims used by reggae artist. " College Rock " first appeared in Jamaica by the works of famous

    producer Clement Seymour Dodd in the late sixties. Jackie Mittoo recorde a tune called " Freak out " on the Coxsone label.

    Since then there has been a countless number of tunes using this nice classical riddim.
