Hello....Yes Max's heart was damaged at birth he died because a blood clot because of his heart that traveled to his legs and he was in such pain the Doctor said it would be best if we put him to sleep. He was the best cat we ever had and miss him so much..

One morning we all woke up to him crying out in excruciating pain, his legs where limp. The vet told us a blood clot broke off from his heart and traveled to his legs cutting off the blood supply. Unfortunately we had to put him to sleep. The last thing I saw was his face with an expression as if saying "help me".

My cat Frankie (tuxedo cat) was attacked by a fox. The fox (probably) grabbed his leg and swung him around. We found him in pain with a concussion and a broken jaw. He recovered well, but that same summer he was killed and eaten by demon Coyote. He was fat. Not extremely fat, but more chubby. I guess fat is what those stupid wild animals are after in a meal. I am also happy to say that we have welcomed a female siamese into our house.
He was a great cat. Always use to lay on top of our tv and anywhere he could. He wasn't able to enjoy a cat's life due to his heart problems but we gave all the love we could. In the end his weak heart cut his life short and we miss him dearly. I am sorry to hear that you lost your cat in such a gruesome way. Some people just have no soul when it comes to animals and that makes me sad.

Thank you for the kind words ginamaltese. It is truly hard to lose something and is never really easy whether its a parent or animal. The day our cat Max passed was the worst day ever and was hard to let him go. I am happy to say we have a new kitten in our lives, but max will always be in our hearts and our memories.
Sorry for your loss. My cat Sebastian died suddenly too. The vet said Maine Coons have a history of cardiovascular disease. He was also a great cat, so patient and sweet. RIP.
