  • 2TONE IS THE BEST!!!

  • Oh shit this rules

  • it's really rude accurate sound!

  • @perroturcas You are right. That reminds me of the jazz music played by british bands in the 1930s/40s. That was also much more accurate like the original american recordings. Must be the tea instead of the coffee.

  • Its official!

Skanking is possible while being seated.

  • ohhh... y que se dibuja una sonrisa en mi cara... :)))

  • Can anyone define for me the transition of music from the 70's to the 80's , and how two tone had a influence on the music scene during the cusp of the two decades? If you answer this you get a cookie.

  • @Retrofanatic10 sorry but i cant

  • pick it up pick it up pick it up!!!!!!!!

  • Long shot kikdebuket !!! ska for life .. dread man sweeeet.. !!! PEACE OUT.

  • @red777photo fuck the bnp music is music. dicks are dicks

  • This track is pure drama in 3 minutes. it was one way to grow up in the late 70's, early 80's. Passionate music for passionate people....Of, and at, the time.

  • "UP THE BNP" means "UP THE BNP's ARSES" ... as in FUCK THE BNP but in a polite fashion.

  • Rudeboy tattoed on my chest and this music in my heart.. I am rude, I am ruder, I am ruder than you... born 77 I love my dad for owning such a great record collection, all the 2Tone classics and some old rockstaedy stuff

  • I was born in the early 90s and missed this wonderful music, in a way lucky to miss the problems of the 70s and 80s but the music! wow! I listen to this and many two tone, ska and rock steady music, I love it!

  • @toyotasera55 likewise my friend.

  • @toyotasera55 future 4 wave!

  • @toyotasera55 I was born in the 60s and missed this wonderful music too. Because I live in Germany, the country thet put people into concentration camps for listening the wrong music and reading the wrong books. And today its not much better, see my channel and homepage.

  • @toyotasera55 If you lived in Germany for 10 years then you should probably have learned to speak German?

  • Comment removed

  • @toyotasera55 No surprise for me, as the allied soldiers were strictly isolated from the normal Germans. When I was in primary school I was told by other kids: When english soldiers get into a beating, the MP comes, beats them down, takes them away, throws them into a cell. Later they have to stand trial in a military court and get punished on top.

The barely concealed message is: No risk for Germans assaulting english soldiers to drive them back into their baracks.

    Germany is a disgrace.

  • @toyotasera55 No doubt that Germany supplied you with semi officially contacts or even "friends". These are what the media today describes as "Government Minders". See my film Snitchers and Secret Service kidnapping Eman Al Obaidi. When the situation runs out of control it turns out that every employee is a sntcher. The Lybians are being trained by Germans.

I am sure you made no contact with Germans that you have not been officially introduced to.

  • @wwwtotalitaerde I am going to end this conversation if you dont mind. I think we may be ruining the music video a little bit. Thanks though.

  • @toyotasera55 All right. Have a nice time.

  • The Specials Rock!

  • are this the gangsters?

  • Ah ... This takes me back, meeting up with the other RudeBoys an Skinheads in the high st in Hackney, drinking in the Hope & Anchor in Highbury, bunking the tube at Highbury to Carnaby St and Kings Rd. I think we had a carraige to ourselve cos there was so many of us...lol. I remember seeing The Specials in Islington High St. "A Brief History Of Ska" here on youtube tells you how it all started, have a look!

  • Your bloody well right summerson, I´m German, born in 1962, and I lived exactly the same, The Beat, The Selector, drinking, smoking, entering the clubs inna silly walk, dancing the night away, and M&P receiving me at the front door. Me went from black&white to red gold & green, and it was all worth it! lol

  • I love the specials too! I'm 33 but I FEEL cooler than the Skids around here listenin to thier HAIR bands.

  • I love the Specials

  • Thanks for this... I sometimes feel old... but then this makes me feel better because I no longer care! LOL! late-70s - 80s baby and damn proud!

  • "a message to you rudy" top tune thnx :)

  • Excellent post.

This takes me way back to a time when i would buy some singles and run back to my grans to play them on her Dansette.

She was slightly deaf, which meant the volume was a lot higher than i could get away with at home :-)

  • Great stuff

  • im starting to realise i like ska but i dont liek the slowness of it, thats why i like ska-punk

  • well if you like ska at all, idk if ur into electronica, but if you are check out some dubstep

  • Dubstep includes a lot more influences then just Reggae though

  • r u planning a boot leg L..P

  • Gangsters and a message to you rudy with the specials.

  • oh, and, Bomb The Music industry! could be considered ska sometimes, too

  • i just saw that band and i did mnot like them much....i was there for mustard plug mostly

  • terawattz, a new from of ska has arisen, its less raw and its singing sounds more alternative-music, but its not bad at all. some bands are streetlight manifesto, reel big fish, less than jake.

the Pietasters are a 2tone revival band, and operation ivy and the mighty mighty bosstones are out there and very ska, just more punk

  • What about Lily Allen and The Ordinary boys? lol

  • Oh man, dancing in my mates' bedroom to The Specials, Madness, The Beat, The Selector - we'd take it in turns to buy the singles and then play them to death - good times.

  • ska doe's not need to be big again, geo,it will always be here, just waiting for the next big thing to come along just as the specials and selector, bad manners, rhoda dakar, madness.then later no doubt had a go and rancid.bands come and go but the music stays..

  • rude boys...rude girls get up on your feet, put your braces together and your boots on your feet gonna give some of that old moonstompin are ya ready...................yeah...........are ya ready yeah, start stompin

  • 0.9 to 0.12 Shows the cover of too much too young, when I was a kid I always thought what a lucky bastard that lad who was stood right at the front of the crowd was, to get his face on a Specials single like that.

  • This makes me giggle.
