  • way to stay in your lane ass fuck

  • There should be no option to comment on videos so dumb **** cant say dumb ****.

  • Everybody who posted on here are a bunch of idiots... The original poster is an idiot. Everybody is an idiot. You are all **** stop posting dumb **** like a bunch of ****** ****.

  • @kilog55 Generally, squid is a term used for someone who doesn't wear their gear. It doesn't really hold much meaning in terms of how someone rides. Just letting you know since you look a bit ignorant when claiming to be a rider and not knowing even basic rider terms. Plus the fact that you're extremely hostile and defensive with barely any provocation makes you look like a complete child.

  • That was your foot peg scraping on the road ? What is that red light that was on. Red usually means danger/ Or stop. looks like a fun road. It's a motorcycle playground in this area.

  • Was there some kind of S2000 convention in town that day?

  • your RPMs are too low. next use a lower gear and the higher RPMs will glue you better to the road to keep you in your lane... be safe out there

  • Idc what they say im tl you ride that rd good and ill be taking my red wrx out there soon hopefully ill see a vid of me and you up on here lol

  • BMW, that road was hand built in the late 1920's, and if you ever been on that road it's kinda hard not to stay in your lane at times. When I drive my sti I do the same thing. I have had bikers move over for me at times. I think the guy is a pretty good job.

  • Seriously bro stay in your lane.

  • this guy is gona crash at some point in future .

  • Not impressed! To quote a famous movie line, “your ego is writing checks your body can't cash”. Based on what I’ve seen in your video, your cornering skills leave a lot to be desired. Your entry and exit points are consistently off and on several occasions you can’t even maintain your lane. Bottom line, you’re not as skillful as you think you are and it’s eventually going to bite you in the ass! Do yourself a favor and get some training, before you hurt yourself or someone else!

  • I suspect you were running low on oil pressure - red light left side of the tach.....Nothing against leaning into the other lane as long as you keep oncoming traffic in sight...

  • @rikherlaar have the same bike that'd be the low fuel light.....cant wait to ride the dragon again

  • Drove this for the first time today in my car. guys clipping the apex like you do at 8:43 and leaning 2 feet into my lane almost ate my front tire several times. Its a fun road, but I had a harder time dodging bikers in my lane than I did staying in my own. Takes alot of the fun out when you are dodging idiots. Still, I look forward to going back!!

  • cars are no fun!

  • @minichado Then I suggest you get a sportbike.

  • Comment removed

  • i love the people who justify lane crossing. why do you go to the dragon just to try and straighten it out? killboy can post the same times and stay fully in his lane, try it sometime.

  • Nice riding! I hope to make it out to Deals Gap at some point. I dont live that far away.

  • nice smooth riding tl, as long as theres nothing coming at you and its legal go ahead and cross the lines. im a uk rospa rider and they teach us to get the best view of the road aheadby crossing the center line and to use the smoothest line through the corner.i think kilog55 sound like a prick with no idea what hes on about, moron.

    happy riding :)

  • If only they had roads like that here in the UK.

  • @12389h There is some great roads in the UK, where you been lol

  • @CH1CKENQUIFF Maybe I should be more specific. In England all I see is traffic and really bad drivers. Unless your out at 4am you can't drive a car/bike no where near it's limit. Although there are some really nice roads in Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man.

  • Nice riding, just hit the dragon for the first time today. Just wishing it was on a bike! Guess I'll have to stick to quarter mile's as these turns are crazy in a car! Nice video, makes me want to go cruise again tomorrow!

  • i'm pretty sure thats a regular wrx, not an sti

  • haha the sti is hammering it and the gsxr dosnt even take it past 8.000revs lmao nice riding by the way :)

  • All I have to say AGAIN is street tires, new bike and 1 year of riding under my belt. I crossed the lines because i could see around the corner and I didnt want to crash because of some LINES that seem to mean more to most of you than riding itself. I was 2nd in the country last year racing and look for me in the AMA races at mid ohio

  • everyone need to harden the fuck up

  • Ya look like ya 1/2 way know what ur doin. Why straighten the corners? I can see crossin the center line to pass cars and couches. But why straighten the corners?

Been ridin the Gap since 94, everything from a ZX7R to VFR. I don't worry to much about car or trucks crossin into my lane. It's clowns like you that straighten out a greAt road that worry me. Think about it !!!!!

  • You take your lines very well I must say, but your ass will be last thing on your mind if our keep running over the yellows. There is a difference between having fun and acting like an unbalanced teenager. Learn your limits and stay alive.

  • Nice vid :). You looked in control and smooth the whole time and I didn't make other motorists swerve to avoid you at all - I suppose people are just calling you an idiot because compared to their skills you look like a hooligan when it's actually well controlled lol.

  • Actually the yellow lines are there to so do not pass not do not cross. White lines mean do not cross. Its the law. Plus back when I did this video the speed limit was higher at the gap than it is today.

  • @tl1000 you're so fucking wrong it's funny white lines mark the shoulders you dont get pulled over for crossing over the white lines, you will for riding like this, hope someone puts your obit under this video when someone like me swerves at you and hits you

  • @kilog55

Still dont see how crossing lines+ bad and swerving AT a rider is ok? Tards like you need to stick to your video games.

  • @tl1000 if youre in my lane im not slowing down for you, im speeding up if you dump it and i hit you oh well. one less squid on a bike

  • @kilog55

So its obvious you don't ride. Why do u even watch these videos? The best part is even if u did speed up and run me over there will be about 20 riders behind me that wont give you the fast death you gave me. All riders stick together and we are a family. Murder is deff the solution to crossing yellow lines dumbass people like you is why the world is a bad place.

  • @tl1000 oh i ride just not like a douche squid, and thats fine i have plenty of ammo for 20 rider squids

  • @tl1000 first respect to you for riding a widow maker lol. and dont give the 12 yr old bitch what he wants he dont drive and if he does he will just be a keyboard warrior. people on you tube always comment to just hate they dont live up to what they chat.

  • @kilog55

Crossing the line gives you no more right to try to hit someone than your threat gives him the right to come to your house and bash your skull in for you. Actually, I think that latter is more legit than the former. I don't agree with crossing the lines either, but I'm not going to be a douche about it like you are.

  • @moorespeedr take the risk lose your life, he is riding like a squid passing cars crossing the lines etc watch how many times after he gets on his own side of the road a car comes around the next corner seconds after he gets upright

  • awwwww too bad you didnt die riding like a squid

  • @kilog55

Its like that? I bet you have been riding for years and still cant even begin to ride a road like this on your harley

  • @tl1000

i dont ride a hardley, but i also stay in my own lane on a 2 lane double yellow and do the posted speed limit. if you wanna use up the whole hard top take it to the track, otherwise dont get mad at me when i swerve at you in my cage

  • @kilog55

You would swerve at a fellow rider, but I can't leave my lane? U go the posted speed everywhere? If u watch ALL my videos you will realize that this was 5 years ago and I finished 2nd in the country last year as a novice racer. Yes i was riding a little wild there, but if you just stay at your pace then u might as well ride a hardley.

  • @tl1000

if you were in my lane coming at me yes id hit ya, speed limits and yellow lines are there for a reason. they are not mere suggestions for a douche squid rider to not follow

  • @kilog55 lol, your such a pussy

  • These guys on responding on here are clowns! For one year riding, you can ride man, thats a serious road experienced rider or not.

  • STI ? Does that stand for roadblock in Japanese?

  • The guy in the subaru needs to push it harder, That car should leave bikes in the dust..

  • @boostfed6

    But he didn't did he?

  • @ithicaplasma No because he apperently sucks at driving...

  • @boostfed6 What, are you high? Seriously? Come on thats a joke right? ... right?

  • @DouglasJayBenson Cars have a lower center of gravity, Much better braking, and 4 times the tire patch contact to the road, its common sense a sports car is faster than a motorcycle....

  • @boostfed6 OK, I'll give you that. but you have to have a Bad Ass Car and Balls of Brass to keep up with or stay ahead of a Stock bike. But just to show that I'm a good sport check out this video. It a good one.

    flixxy.com/car-vs-motorcycle.htm

  • @DouglasJayBenson Ive seen this before top gear is my favorite show. And thats a professional moto gp rider... 99% of motorcyclist out there cant ride nearly that well.

  • Very good riding, imo. From the comments, it's clear that some people just don't get it and never will.

  • Wow, you suck at life and riding. You are what makes this road dangerous. As a local I hope to never run into you up there, why straighten a curvy road by crossing the yellow line and putting people at risk.

You may say you can see what's ahead of you but there are some skilled riders and drivers that will come up on you faster than you can get back in line and all it takes is one mistake.

    Bad habits breed bad situations.

  • So if you will cut every corner to go straight(instead staying in your lane), why go on the twisty roads at all??? May as well stick with the freeways and better- switch to a cruiser or a scooter... Seriously, this kind of "heroes" give a bad name to all of us sport bike's riders. I pass cars when catch them on straight, but never cross the line just to ride faster, this is NOT GOOD riding skills...Better keep this vids for yourself...

  • All GSXR's come with an F.I. light. Yours is on... It stands for "Fucking Idiot".

  • @BADBOYZX12R

lmao. If you dont know what A FI light is VS a gas light u may need to stay away from bikes.

  • BTW not an STI just a wrx with ugly wing on it... look at the wheels and the wing is not an sti wing

and your oil light is on

  • It`s perfectly fine too use the whole road if it`s clear to do so, You can travel in the opposing lane all you want.

  • bmw LOL

  • I'll cross them if I can see far enough and think the line was placed there for no reason but I won't if I ever have ANY doubt as to whether it's clear. Plus, you give fuel to the anti-biker brigade (and there's lots of em, especially here) if you're seen doing anything unsafe. I think pick your moments use your head and you'll be fine. Too many people judge other riders. Enjoy riding for fucks sake. There's different skill levels, some people are learning. Get over it.

  • What's a squid? being a brit I've never heard it. As for crossing lines, a comment below says there's it's not the law to stay in your lane; in britain, if it's a solid white line it is, a broken line can be crossed. Personally I think if you can see, it's clear and you think that reasonably nothing can come in the time you're across the line, do it. gives you a bit in reserve to widen the line if you misjudge and we all do. It can't be applied everywhere because the lines are there for a reason

  • silky smooth throttle control, clean lines! VERY WELL DONE!!

i love all these youtube trolls crying about double yellow lines! lol

nothing he did was "by accident"

    DUDE CAN RIDE...... PERIOD!!

  • Look up "Apex" learn what do do with one. Then try again.

Going out of your lane makes your bad driving look a great deal worse.

  • @vodaklex look up the rest of my vids and decide if u know what "apex" is really for. In this video i was 1 year into riding. 5 years later I started winning races and now i'm a expert racer for 2011. What have u done?

  • Just as a technical point, those double yellow lines mean "Do not pass". They don't mean stay on your side of the road. A common mis-perception, one a lot of cops have. A Judge will cure them.

    Been there done that.

It is cheaper to pay the ticket, but not as much fun.

If you pass a car without crossing the line, you break the law. Lines on a road are there for help. They are guides, NOT law.

  • Nice fun ride, all this BS about tracks and racing, hell this ain't racing it's just riding with gusto. Keeping the revs down is just a sign of someone that knows what they are doing, you ain't gotta have it hung out and smokin the rear tire to go briskly, damn it gets up speed on nothing flat as it is. My old Beemer GS loves roads like this, it's usually the only time I can keep up with a crotch rocket, but you are pretty damn fast yer own self. It seems so effortless, mine you gotta flog some

  • wasn't an STI, just WRX

  • now this would be an awesome video if he knew how to stay in his lane.. haha

  • I actually live near there and all I have to say is if you really feel the need to do it fast, make sure you're skilled enough to stay in your lane coming around the blind turns. When I have to drive it, my biggest concern is coming around a curve to find a motorcyclist in my lane with nowhere for me to go (I've had to go off the road a few times to avoid it and, as you can see, there's not much "off the road" to be had in places.)

  • not really like the racetrack, is it? your tires are not blistered and smoking when you arrive at the finish, your knees haven't really gotten much friction, you can't even keep your motor in the power band. Not criticizing, just saying the track is better for serious heat.

  • Real riders try to keep the laws and police from being more strict then they already are. Squids are the reason new laws get passed, and the police are happy to enforce them. Making enjoying motorcycling harder for the REAL riders out there. FACT

Take the stupid shit to the track where the only one you can hurt is yourself, and no one can say anything that might hurt your feelings.

  • @andrew71787

LOL... Real riders dont obey the man. U cant ever learn anything if u follow the laws. I ONLY track and race so i do know what its like to be a REAL rider...

  • @tl1000

I think there's a lot of people who would agree with what I said, not saying you must go the speed limit everywhere you go, but keeping in mind its this kind of stuff that adds fuel to the fire for states to follow suit with Florida, and become much more strict with bikers. I don't want the man to take anymore of my rights away then they already have. Its people like you who get Ideas of speed and horsepower restrictions, and helmet requirements into lawmakers heads.

  • @andrew71787

I hear you on the gap thing. yea it fuels the "fire" ,but the mad is taking away all of our rights already and even more soon to come. I will only care if they make the helmet law because that means the people who dont wear them may actually live. Yes the riding i did 6 years ago was crazy, but i dont regret doing it no matter what names people call me. You really should see all the videos i have not posted.........

  • I agree, squid. people are always watching, and its stuff like this that ruins it for everyone else. Whether your passing or not its illegal to go over a double yellow line. makes you look like a shitty rider, since yellow wolf can handle a gold wing through there better then you can on that bike.

By staying in your lane your giving yourself one less thing to worry about. (you being the cause of a head on collision.)

  • @andrew71787

Its people that can't ride who hate. I bet u are the squid. Only fake riders hate on real riders. FACT.

  • holy jesus you manhandle that 750 awesome video

  • Shut the fuck up about the lines let him drive how he wants, and like he said people crash trying to hard NOT to cross the lines. I think this is an awesome video.

  • EFFING CARS get off the other side of the road so the man can hit his apex

  • IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII Damn 130 of the 318 nice ride....

  • nice video fella good to see that there are people out there that can handle bikes and ride them really well :). I have myself a nice suzuki motorbike aswell love it to bits

  • there is a lot of s2k in this vid that day huh?

  • im so sick of these videos of dumbass crossing the center lines!!!!!what the fuck!!!!

  • i'm sick of comments like yours.

  • i remember you ,i left you a comment on your other sorry ass video.should have known it was the same person.learn how to ride then post some good video's!!!!!

  • i have vids posted. U have zero posted. Get a bike maybe then talk to me. BTW this was 5 years ago...

  • Wow you have vids posted. They make you look like you can't ride.trust me i have a bike.but if i had vids like this i dam sure would't post them.i sure hope you can ride better now!!!!

  • Offsiding is a widely recognised advanced riding technique, Better view through the corner and increases the radius of the turn. Police riders do it all the time. Very smooth tl1000, i'd like to see any of the negative commenters get close to you. Wish we had roads like that in the UK

  • To me he seemed to be crossing the lines in a fairly safe manner, but if he is doing that once he catches the car, it is as if he is riding a different course. It makes a fair comparison of speeds more difficult. In this case it would be a simple agreement to make the playing field "level."

  • tl1000, you're doing the right thing, keep it up.. that's what you call RACING LINES =)

  • bad driver! he always cross the line!

  • i love bikes! but its dangerous for the rider and the others drivers to run fast in the city or on the every road! drive safaly in tracks! why not?

  • wtf y is it every time i see a video of some one on a gsxr they are always doing stupid shit stay on you own side of the dame road its not a suggestion line

  • like i tell everyone now its not a road its a racetrack! Those lines suggest things to cages and harleys.

  • I Can tell you don't own a bike nor do you know how to ride one. You probably drive a minivan!!

  • and your just retarded if you think this is how you ride a bike

bikes can make them turns with out going on the other side of the road

but im guessing you dont know that becaus you dont ride

  • Not anymore, but back in the 60's I rode like that.

If you are young and don't ride like that, you need to trade in your bike before you get killed.

On a motorcycle defensive driving gets you dead.

I'm almost 70 and have been riding since '55.

I don't ride fast anymore since I don't have the reflex or eyesight to do it. I still ride aggressive. Not because I'm worried about dying but because I don't want my pretty red 919 messed up.

  • Why fear the line? It IS a suggestion line. To the Anal retentive, it's more then that but not everyone had problems with their potty training.

Meanwhile, that dude in the GTI can flat out drive. He is either 1 in a million, or has had professional training. I only caught 2 goofs and I was looking.

Meanwhile, back at the line, that line is there to indicate a no passing zone. That is all. When is the last time anyone got ticketed for crossing a yellow line when they weren't passing?

  • FINALLY! So many people think of the line too dam much. They can crash while pushing too hard to not cross the line.

  • @Ivory8 Professionally trained by who? Both drivers need to go back to school. Most people can flat out drive at 40-50 mph and they can stay in their own lanes when then do it. My Granny would smoke both of them and not risk a head on collision with oncoming traffic.

  • @Ivory8 three things...

#1, thats not a GTI or an STI, its just a regular bug eye wrx with a shit ricer wing extension

#2, he was an absolutely AWFUL driver, braking in the middle of multiple turns and being jerky with the gas are two major flaws. Probably some teenager.

#3, going west on the dragon its ok to cross the line because there are no blind turns where you would cross the line, going east on the other hand is asking for a head on collision!

  • @Ivory8 @Ivory8 three things...

#1, thats not a GTI or an STI, its just a regular bug eye wrx with a crap ricer wing extension

#2, he was an absolutely AWFUL driver, braking in the middle of multiple turns and being jerky with the gas are two major flaws. Probably some teenager.

  • Squid.

  • No one would doubt your abilities, but maybe the execution. At a place where dangerous noobs can't help but cross the line, you do it and say it's safe. One rule for all will save lives.

  • WELL THEN!!!!!

  • Hahahahah... Classic.

  • tl1000 can out ride every joker commenting on here. I Will put money on anyone who wants to try. I have rode with the man. He IS THE MAN! Quit hating

  • dude's fast, all you haters STFU.

  • What's up with that indicator light??

  • running out of gas lol

  • Yeah? I don't think my 05 has a gas light. That's pretty cool that you got one.

  • Nice vid man

  • I'm going to make the assumption that the rider in the video had clear sightlines when he took "racing lines", but I could be wrong. There are those who say one should never cross double yellows and they may be right. However to assume that someone has no skill b/c they cross lanes is folly, cos I know BSB racers who ride on the road who will, on occasion take the proper racing line even if it means staring in the face of oncoming traffic. They're all still alive btw.

  • agreed but this guy does suck. hes not on the gas at all and hes not going very fast, also it seems like hes a little scared to lean

  • you must be valentino rossi. can i have your autograph?

  • You must be one hell of a rider if you think this guy was going slow considering that he held 45+ through most of it I've never been to the gap on a bike but I have in my 88 Z and I'd have to push the car pretty hard to go any faster than that

  • keep in mind bike speedo's are not relieable and that when a bike is leaned over the tire is smaller on its side. so 45 is more like 37-38. ive been to the gap 5 or 6 times and ive seen guys on harleys go faster than this. look up goldwing and deals gap he goes about 45-50 threw the gap

  • u are one of the guys at the gap that is slow i bet. Come race if ur any faster

  • u ride a 750 in 1st gear at the gap and see if u want to tack the motor?? I know the road is deadly and if i had 9 lives i would ride it like its a track, but its not. Also i was stupid and didnt know how fragile life is.

  • 750 in first will go 80 in first[ according to a bad speedo] i have a 07 gsxr 600 and its geared down, and i keep it in 2nd. also dont use the crap about life being fragile just because your not a very good rider, remember you were crossing the double yellow lines, thats more dangerous than leaning into a corner.

  • how many crashes have u had? how many races do u race a summer? Lines are not always the safest way around the street. I dont ride the street anymore because of kids like you that think your fast,so u hate on anyone that is actually doing what you cannot do. Like i said come to a wra race and show us all how fast you are!

  • sorry i hit remove on the last coment on accident. But anyway i meant wera. I dont race putnam because they do not race at putnam trackday only. I go to all the tracks on the east coast and will be at tally in feb. Whats ur best time at putnam? mid ohio? If ur fast and i dont know you then that would be strange.

  • putnam, 1.19-20 midohio i havent been back there since they repavedit a couple years back, i dont like new surfaces, at road atlanta ive seen 1.25s on the long track. we used to race at putnam but that was awhile back, now just track days. are you apart of assphaltjunkies. if so that kinda sucks theres a few ppl in your group giving you guys realy bad names. i guess a few squids ruin the name of the whole

  • I am the president of the junkies lol. What do u mean by the people giving us bad names? I have not heard that for a year or so now? There are allot of haters out there and i like to know how they think. As for putnam i wish they would race there agian!! I run 15's there

  • bike night at hooters in florence, thats where there are a few giving you guys bad names. last time i was there they where doing wheelies and up and down houston road. also what bike/setup you running to get down to 1.15s i need some suspenion on mine bone stock everything! no exhaust or anything yet, but i only got this bike[07 gsxr600] last year. your pretty close to the track record i believe its 1.14 by a gsxr 750 back in the mid 90's.

  • Comment removed

  • You're fucking retarded. I have pictures of him standing on the podium at the AMA road race grand championships.

  • yea the camera angle doesnt show what i can see.

  • whats with all the S2000's?

  • that sti was badass

  • Dude you don't even ride a motorcycle and have never seen the roads we have here in person. They are tight turns sometimes off camber and decreasing radius. Someone that crosses the centerline over here on a regular basis will not live long. All the mountain roads are that way here. You have to respect them or you will get bitten.

  • What kind of camera is this filmed with?

  • Yeah.... why would you try to cut the curves out of Deals Gap?.... that is why you are there is the curves. Good riding other than the line crossing.

  • Take my comment for whatever it's worth: if you're a WERA "racer" now, I feel really good about my chances at getting licensed and taking care of business.

Seems others missed this so I'll point it out: I could see where your head was going through most of the turns and it was always WAY opposite of where it should have been going: you turned left your head went way right, you turned right your head went way left!

Glad to hear you're learning, though.

  • yup. if ya can't stay on your side you shouldn't be riding. cross the yellow line of death.....and die.

  • @RobertGillcash if you see no car and its clear, why not cross into the other lane? people are such pussies sometimes. Its like saying i always wear my rain coat when its raining. seriously though. It sounds like your the kind of person who sits in the overtaking lane under the speed limit. And you probably get all pissed off at the tailgaters behind you.

  • @RobertGillcash he thinks that he is a very good driver and that it will be never happen ...

i saw it and i can just say its very bad if you hit with your head against a car ....

  • I miss that bike! I miss when you could run the gap like that! I wish that was a track! I am a wera racer now and i didnt know anything back then!

  • not sti 02-03 bug eye

  • you got to keep the rpm's higher on that bike.... you could smash those corners if you would. the higher the rpm the more you able to control the bike, don't start blasting me before you try it.

  • downshift and pass the muppet!

  • man...i cant understand why ppl want to cut the corners up there.....and not cause its risky.... just cause its not as fun...yeah it makes you faster but ive done it thru the whole dragon and i didnt enjoy the full twist as much as i did when i stayed over in my lane.... ride as you wish but,,,, to me personally ... its not as fun...

  • Amen ... you miss the whole point of being there - the TURNS - if you're straightening them all out. WTF???

  • It's obvious...to go faster. What's the point in doing 35 mph round a corner when you can take it at 80 if you cut it? The faster you go, the harder it is, the more you have to worry about getting your speed right and having to change lines if there is oncoming traffic, you need more skill than mindlessly sticking to your own side of the road. I'm from the UK and I don't understand in the US why you place so much importance on not crossing into the other lane and why you hardly ever overtake.

  • look...i said it WAS faster..but you cant understand how important it is to stay over until you ride this road...its 30 mins from my house and im a regular on it....ive atleast ran it 250 or 300 times this year....during the summer months and the trees are bloomed out you cant see thru the next curve like he can...and he chose good spot to pass also...(gravity),,,,and i CAN take those corners at 80 without lane crossing...it takes control to do it...more skill than to just wander wherever....

  • And if you come here and ride our road and still dont see the importance of having enough skill to stay to your side...make sure to send me a message telling me cause my ass wont be up there to have you blow a corner and hit my ass....ive seen with my eyes 3 people dead on this road within 3 months because of 1. not taking it serious 2. not paying attention and 3.not paying attention....also a guy broke his hip, had a broken wrist, and a broken femur for guess what? . . . LANE CROSSING

  • I know it would be stupid to post a full speed run but I watched your "half speed" run and you must have had some body parts over the centre line and you couldn't have been doing more than 20 something round the slower corners unless the view is deceptive so I would like to see you try to do 80 and stay in lane. I mean this guy here looks reasonably good and he can't do more than 35. I don't ride bikes, I like 4WD turbo cars and own one as they corner fastest of all vehicles.

  • @char19822 wrong porsche cayman s spank the corners compared to a AWD turbo ( that is if your tlking about the STI or The evos)

  • I think you're kidding yourself, a stock evo fq360 does 0-60 in 3.9, a porsche cayman s takes 5.2, they are not even in the same league. Get a 911 gt3 or turbo if you want a car faster than an evo.

  • @realmccoy4x4

Watch the Top Gear episode of the EVO IX FQ400 versus the Lambo Murcielago. The Lambo is faster than the Cayman (and not just in a straight line), and the EVO's almost beat it. On the TG track, the EVO's time is much much quicker than the Cayman's.

  • I meant in the US you seem to have mainly straight roads and hence one like this seems like a big deal to you but in the rural parts of the UK a lot of roads are like this but narrower. People that live in the country love speeding on these roads as there are no cops around. I mean there is a main rural road a fair bit faster than this one with a 60 mph limit and 10 people get killed on it every year, but it is possible to drive the 34 miles in under 18 minutes in light to moderate traffic!

  • dude i dont care if your ben bostrom..nobody can do a solid 80 mph on this road..and my half speed run video on here is like 3 months old..i was just starting to be able to drag my knees then...now i have to buy new pucks everytime i go..but there are plenty of spots to hit over 80...and on coopers sriaght you can hit 130.(if you have good brakes) this road is a big deal for tourist but there alot of other awesome roads within a hour of it ..cherohala skyway..devils triangle..blood mountain...

  • Sounds like you are spoilt with all the nice road near you. This video shows the kind of roads in the UK I was talking about

    watch?v=88lmrcYA8Rc&feature=related

It is from a DVD by a bunch of guys showcasing their dangerous riding/driving but is fairly typical of rural driving/riding for kicks from a certain section of society. You might be able to see now why the US preoccupation with not crossing the center line is strange to me.

  • Dude you don't know how this road is. So if you think you can do 80 all around it and stay in YOUR lane the entire time then go for it.

  • No, I was saying the opposite, what's the point in doing 40 when if you cut the corner creatively you can go much faster. The other guy was saying he could do that, briefly.

  • The reason not to cut corners even tho you can go faster is that in theory, "50 pencing" the corners or altering the turn-in point to that the line is straighter means that you have less TIME in the corner, which defeats the purpose of finding a twisty road in the first place! If you want ultimate speed, you can find a deserted motorway

Anyway, also, American drivers aren't as aware of bikes as Euros are and I think thats why there is less overtaking comp'd to watch?v=Uf0b_kwa6RE

  • Crossing DYs and bad lines makes up a squid.
