@ilikerazzles1 It's not that we care about what you believe or don't believe, razzles. We just take issue with people who try to include religious belief in school curriculum. Creationism is not just "another theory" that can compete with the theory of evolution. One has the answers before it ever found a shred of proof and the other is the sum total of 150 years of solid research. To pretend these are two sides of the same coin is a textbook example of a false equivalence.

And don't speak too fast, I'm sure many school boards in Texas will try to show this movie in classrooms in order to "teach the controversy". Contrary to what a lot of creationnists believe, there is no big controversy in scientific circles regarding the subject of evolution.

If there is a god, heaven and hell, 90% of christians are going to hell for constantly judging others. My only problem with religion is the oldest it dates back is like, 6 to 7 thousand years at most while ancient monuments date back to around 10,500 years ago. Whats up with that? And why did the oldest civilizations refer to their creators as gods, not just one. Many.

Moder day christians do not adhere to certain things that are in the Old Testament because they were part of the law (jewish law) and when Jesus came to earth and took our place he canceled out the law, the law was meant as a code to live by and try to find favor in the eyes of God and Jesus came and redeemed us and canceled the law, we no longer have rules that say you cant eat this unclean food etc. etc.

OK I say this as a Christian, This movie looks terrible. #1 the production quality and scripting of even this short clip is poor at best. I know its meant to counter hollywood, but you could have at least gotten some better script editiors. and second, it sounds very "preachy" I dont think you have to "dumb down" the word of God, but preaching to the chior does not convert anyone.

Sounds like this movie is a compromise between evolution and the Bible. Modern science is absolutely wrong about a lot of it's conclusions. Any new evidence that is in conflict with mainstream science is met with censure. The researcher is usually publicly criticized with personal attacks on his or her character or mental state and lose their jobs. The evidence is out there. The Earth is not as old as mainstream science says it is.

I LOVED this movie. I am not sure that I can fully agree with its conclusions, but that is not the point. It was not a cheesy B movie. It was all quallity. I was able to move both intellectually and emotionally with the plot of the movie. There are too few movies that treat viewers like they have a brain. This is one of them.

TRUE Science does not negate the existence of God. Rather, it points to a Higher Being as the one who created it all. For me, you just have to look at a star, a tree, a bug--a person to realize that things aren't just created randomly WITHOUT any forethought of organization or order. If the universe did indeed just BURST into existence then Someone must have arranged it to be in perfect harmony with each other.

Science is science, the bible is religion, only the religious need to somehow 'reconcile' the two. I saw this yesterday. There is a point where a character quotes Charles Darwin on the complexity of the eye and how, to Darwin, it seemed improbable to come to be that way through natural selection.

I was wondering why you purposefully left out the very next paragraph in which he actually explains how it could have evolved.

This would be a great movie, if it were true that the only thing in the bible that didn't fit with modern times was the creation story. The Bible also says you can catch leprosy from the walls of an unclean house, that rabbits chew their cud, and many things which modern day Christians fortunately no longer adhere to. Such as the death penalty for adultery, death for working on the Sabbath, death for saying the word Jehovah, death for cursing your parents- how many of you would that leave alive?
