  • love this cordoba very nice car

  • Doggy!! lol, nice Mopar

  • what is the 400 big block on gas im looking at a 1981 Chrysler Cordoba 400 4 barrel just wondering how they on gas?

  • Yeah man, on my 360 Cordoba I took the choke off and I found it ran better. Fuck, what I would do to own a Cordoba again. It was an awesome first car and I'm only 24. Definitely a chick magnet. Beat all the little Honda fanboys as far as getting girls went.

  • I so love that exhaust sound, absolutely awesome!

  • The little punk who disliked my video here was "rostine1980" he thought the 400 wasnt a mopar engine and got all trollish on me. Go check out this poser pussies videos and tell him how much of a loser her is. :)

  • The teeth are a nice touch.

  • I love that GM module and electrical tape. Better than the original setup no doubt. Probably a factory lean-burn? How about a big red stuffed beanbag tongue hanging out of the grille?

  • @aruizdonatoable LOL Thanks for the suggestions.... but I know what Im doin hon :) I put a quadrajet from a 75 454 chevy truck on it, and its running off a boat tank in the trunk. eventually, itll be a holley double pumper if I have anything to say about it :) I dont need a chole anyway, on my hotrods I buy holleys with no choke horn :)

  • @fastsnow Choke*

  • were did you get the teeth?

  • @lal5555f

    I made them.

  • Damn I froze up when the dog was suddenly there:DDD Great beast of a mopar you got there, cherish it!

  • @Fiskaal

    Thanks

  • its since been replaced, I was using the back end of a 3/8 extension to turn the switch inside.

  • What happened to the ignition switch? Are you just connecting two wires or something?

  • My cousin Terry loves the car! ~Annya Moon from VN. Peace!

  • Cool car. I dig it.

  • I see.. so your saying you could remove the lean burn module and just use the older electronic ignition instead? (Of course using the wiring harness and all to go with it) So you dont have any mechanical advance either? Did you remove the springs for the advance weights or did the lean burn distributor just not have an advance like that? That is something I didnt know about.

It looks like a fun car! You will have to check out my doba to..

  • @Thinkinman79 correct the hei is wired into the harness for power right where it goes to the coil from the original wiring harness. It uses the magnetic pickup in the original lean burn distributor. The 1977 up lean burn had no mechanical advance I am pretty sure. it only had it in 76, first year of it. Anyway I tested it and it stays at 33 degrees more or less at all rpm ranges.. there is some chain flex or something apparent but its very small. Car only has 54k on it...

  • @fastsnow Ok i see. Yeah i have never heard of not using some kind of advance. I would have to believe you wouldnt have as good as performance in comparison to one that did have an advance.. Did your lean burn system have a ballast resistor? I though they all did, but a friend of mine has a truck with lean burn and he cant find one anywhere.

  • Still a spreadbore carb then, I bet you can pull off 16-20 mpg. What other mods did you do to this beast?

  • @aboomanation only mods are HEI module, air cleaner, Flowmaster, cat removal, VAMPIRE TEETH!, lol, Quadrajet from 1976 chevy 454, and thats it. Everything else including belts have been on it for 20 to 30 years or more. Lower radiator hose looks original. The brakes still worked after sitting 15 years.Oh, and it runs on a boat tank in the trunk. No kidding. Original tank was rusted too badly. So I have a 6 gallon capacity, for now.

  • I love the sound of the intake at higher rpm, sounds like a thermoquad:) I see you have a rear sway bar, love your doba, can't wait to finish my 76 this summer

  • @aboomanation Its actually a quadrajet from a 1976 chevy 454, lol thanks for the comment

  • Why put silly GM parts on a far superior mopar? haha

  • @Thinkinman79 Every manufacturer has its upsides and downsides. One of Mopars downsides was the leanburn system. One of GMs upsides was the HEI module. Now I have the best of both worlds... a mopar 400 big block powered by a HEI module. :)

  • @fastsnow Yeah that's true lean burn failed quite a bit, and it cause terrible throttle response. I can understand that. So I assume you had to switch to a vacuum advance distributor to? But why the quadrabog?

  • @Thinkinman79 no, you dont need vacuum advance contrary to popular opinion. Has lean burn distributer still. No mechanical advance. I am getting about 17 mph at 60 mph, 15-16 or so at 70. I have done this for many years, run cars with a set timing adjustment as have many other hot rodders. Right now it is at 33 degrees believe it or not, but no pinging ever. The Quadrabog was something we had on the shelf that will one day be replaced with a nice fat holley double pumper. :)

  • The old weapon sounds good, other than more teeth LOL what are your plans for it?

  • @462ANIMAL Who knows, if I get some cash to work on it with I might go mad max with it. :)

  • @fastsnow Cool, so you got rid of the Mark V?

  • @462ANIMAL yes. was fun while I had it.

  • it's starts and runs good for no choke. :)

  • was nirivana been a son on your radio?

  • @locologan187 no, that was 'drain you' :-)

  • Sweet
