This was originally recorded by a group called "The Sands Of Time." Their version was produced by Tony Hatch and released on the PYE label in the UK. It did not chart (there or here).
@IDLERACER There's also an unreleased version recorded by The Vogues from 1965 that's quite good. It's too bad that not one of these versions made it. It's a great melody. Each version is great in it's own way.
@petclark1 You're very welcome. In my almost 40 years of collecting records, I have yet to see a stock copy of this one. When they turn up it's always a promo copy. I hope one day this will be issued on CD with a good stereo mix.
