well im not sure excactly how old he was when the disease started to take effect but jason was diagnosed with ALS or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis aka lou gehrig's disease. which from what i understand slowly takes away movement and mobility. over time jason could no longer even move his arms and started writing using a keyboard but that didnt last long because he became fully paralyzed. he is currently alive and well(excluding his condition) and can talk using eye movements
