1, nothing "hit" the earth, it was an airburst proven fact, 2. there WAS in fact Radiation detected by russian scientists, 3. tiny molten globules of silica and metals were found at the detonation site. 4. what proof do we have that what caused the atmospheric glow was in fact dust? 5. several eye whiteness SAW the fireball moving to slow to be a comet or meteor, and change direction. WHY are these things being ignored?

Question, HOW does a comet change direction, and cause radiation.

@theartsig 1, hitting the atmosphere does not = an impact, the space shuttle hits the atmosphere on reentry, it is not hitting the earth, an impact implies a direct hit with the earths crust or ocean. what happend was an AIR Burst. 2. this isn't conspiracy bullshit this is commonly ignored fact, do your bloody research. it's documented. google it look it up. 3. again already DOCUMENTED. you only have to google it and look up the documented accounts............

THe Comet is just a theory. with little proof.

It's quite a difficult task to present this kind of information with the simplicity, poetry and entertainment of Sagan. He's definitely one of my heroes. He's one of the great humans of the 20th century.

@TheKiemaster You have a very long way to go before you will be another Carl Sagan!. You need to much improve your English grammar and spelling before being able to match Sagan's eloquence. You can't even spell his name correctly! How can knowing that Sagan died make you happy

@mikecop87 Spoofing “Cosmos” is an insult to Carl Sagan, his wife and his friends. You can’t even punctuate correctly and write grammatically, so how can you promise to convey accurately the same thoughtful information produced by Sagan? Carl Sagan was not only an astronomer and scientist. He was a philosopher, an educator, an historian, an art connoisseur and a humanitarian amongst other admirable attributes.

Such a shame you never see these documentaries on television anymore, and although astronomy has advanced, they are still relevant. These are documentaries you can really learn something from,unlike most modern productions.
