Man I miss the good old CDI days. The farthest I ever got was to the part with the cracks in the ground. Now its all about that 360.I dont even kno what happened to my CDI.
The toughest game I ever played...or at least one of them. Think the furthest I got was the department store. I used to play with the pad, not the gun. That may have made it easier.
The credits of the game, IIRC, state that the footage is taken from both Galaxy Express 999 and Adieu Galaxy Express.
Damn thing was so frustrating, I don't think I ever made it past the the little mines that zoom up to you on the street. Those things moved WAAAAAY too fast to follow with the normal CD-i controller. x_X
I found the normal CDI controller (From the nrmal systems like the 910) worked really well and fast, the stupid wired one that came with the magnavox version was a pain, and the cars were easy, you had to dodge em after you shot em I found skateboard alley to be the worse area, but then found you can avoid it all together. this guy shoulda shot the dynamite train.
I think I got to the end where a guy in a red cloak appears and you have to shoot lights above him. It's impossible, I've had the game over a decade and cannot complete it grrr. lol
I beat it, the first time i didnt know what i hit i just shot at everything, but I found out that you can only shoot the lights that turn colors, those some how destroy the mainframe of the computer that controls everything
I remember playing this in sears back in the late 80's then yrs later found out i was playing galaxy express 999 the game but different from anime talk about surprised.
Robots fail at maintaining a prison. I loved the picture of the kid. Obviously they thought they could mimic the look of the character through kid pix rather than take a snapshot of his face from the game (Or the anime it rips from) for the mug shot.

Leiji Matsumoto is a substancial animator; his game deserved better voice acting & sound effects than that.
Tetsuro is jinxed; every planet he sets foot on explodes, including Earth.

well i think you have to shoot the truck and also it's just a trial&error game that has crappy robot voices.

yeah you gotta shoot the big red power cell on the side there, the flatbed is hauling crates of TNT.

They totally altered the plot. The real plot concerns a class battle between natural humans and rich humans with machine bodies.
