I ran that time on BBK Cold Air, 4.10 Ford Racing Gears, Steeda Pulleys and a SCT Tune Blow By Racing here in Florida. I pumped my tires upto 32 psi. My 60 ft time was a 1.78.
what was the mph? nice run man.my gt is stock and planning some bolt ons after holidays.so my question is will a cai, catback exh, throttle body, and a tuner make a diff? cause i feel my gt is slow.my v6 felt jus as fast
@selby792 My 60s were right around 1.9 (1.89 was my best) because my suspension was not set up at all for dragging (steeda lowering springs and no other suspension mods). I would say that the tires saved me almost a half a second. Not sure because some of my mods were done during the switch from street tires.
By the sound of it I think it was about 5000-5500rpm, but if the tires were just right I could dump around 6k and hook fine. This was with Nitto DRs mind you.
I'm curious to see what my GT would run in the 1/4 but there are no tracks near me. Mine makes 268/310. I have ran an 8.71@80 in the 1/8 with stock gears. It looks like you are using stock gears. What all did you have at the track to run a 13.1? I can powershift as well.
Did you do some lightening? Slicks? Just curious bro.
No built rear. The MTs hook a lot better than the Nittos do, so your best bet (if you don't mind taking the chance of breaking the rear/trans) is to rev it higher and dump the clutch. You've got to play around with it (it helps to go to a track rental like I did so you can get in a few dozen runs instead of just 3 or 4), launch at 4000, if you bog move up to 4500, if you bog move to 5000 and so on. A little bit of wheelspin is OK, but if you're peeling out you'll want to bring it back down a bit
What exactly do you have on the stang? You havent changed the gears still 327. correct me if im wrong

@periko333 That's correct, still have the 3.27s (I trap around 104 at the very top of 3rd gear).

Did the DRs shave a lot of time off your 1/4? My car is running 13.7s with 2.2 60 foots. What kind of 60s were you pulling off?

Damn. Is your rearend built by any chance? I tried launching at 4K on mine and bogged on M/T dragradials.Only managed an 8.40 1/8th bogging.

I wasn't even looking at the tree, I was trying to get my RPM just right for the launch. This was a track rental so I wasn't racing anyone.
