  • This and Siuil a Run are why Orla is my favorite. <3

  • So haunting and beautiful

  • So beautifully Haunting. She's lovely. My favorite.

  • When I listen to this song I get shivers down my spine.

It is so mysterious, but at the same time beautiful

  • goosebumps.... all i can say

  • one of my absolute faves!

  • I love her, I love her voice, I love her dress. I love everything about this lady! ... Except that she left celtic women, that just sucks.

  • Beautiful.

  • I think Orla's voice is my favorite of the group, but they are all so amazing.

  • @PanderflyLUV Yes.

  • Orla come back to Celtic Woman! I can't watch/listen to them without you T_T

  • @MothraLover47 Agreed.

  • Orla is so beautiful. I absolutely LOVE this song!

  • Clannad !

  • Her voice is stunning haha but her mouth moves weird.

  • Someday, I wish to go to Ireland just to see Newgrange.

  • This song is really mysterious. Orla's voice suits the song very well. It's a beautiful song.

  • The harmony in this song is so delightful, I love it.

  • Her voice literally brings me closer to Heaven.

  • @UndercoverCracker Her voice brings me to heaven.

  • Orla's voice was the inspiration for a character in my novel Dark Passage. It is so haunting and mystical...and very beautiful.

  • favorite former member.... I'm SO hoping I can go to her performance in my town in October....

  • "Rum de rum 'rud a derimo ..."

Anyone know what that means? I don't trust google translate...

  • @guineapiglover123 I looked it up, and found several sources who said it was probably some form of lilting, I think it's called. Which is simply just sounds put together to form that... I also found that it's actually commonly found in traditional Irish music.. Kind of like in Spanish Lady, I'm guessing.. "Whack for the too ra loo ra lady?"

  • @loverlyrachy

    Ah. Thanks!

  • I love this song

  • Alex might have given it a try, but you'll certainly not going to hear this type of song with the current lineup of three sopranos.

What were those in charge thinking when they shrunk Celtic Woman to three ladies - talented as they are - who are so similar vocally?

  • @63utuber...the powers that be had nothing to do with any of the soloists leaving the group...The current members of the group are all very talented ladies and we are lucky to have them. Lisa Lambe is capable of hitting those low notes, she has a very wide range... Having said that I can see them adding a 4th soloist to the group again...

  • The women are gorgeous, unfortunantly I don't feel any emotions when I listen to this.

  • Are they lip syncing? If not, AMAZIN AS HELL, DIS IS AMAZIN AS HELL.

  • @LordKalbert

Nope, not lip syncing. Just top of the line sound system and ACTUAL TALENT!!! (Which is actually hard 2 find nowadays!)

  • The way Orla walks out is sexy...lol

  • so the lead singer of a song always wears a white dress?

  • @codeman7780 No, the idea of this show was to become more colourful as the show went on, so the leads ALL wore white at the beginning of the show, but started wearing brighter outfits as the show progressed.

  • This song is amazing.

    so haunting.

  • What instrument is the guy at 1:57 playing? It sounds really nice.

  • @MSZShadow...That is a "penny whistle", one of a family of instruments known as "tin whistles"

  • @gaeilge1O1 Ah, thanks. I had thought it was, but wasn't entirely sure.

  • One of the most amazing performances by celtic woman...thisis the song that got me hook to this kind of music...its orla's voice I guess...so enchanting and misterious at the same time....amazing....

  • Incredible. I love the story in this song, as well as the melody. Orla sings it so perfectly. She adds that haunting sound to it with her soft, yet powerful voice. I get goosebumps every time I listen to this song. I just love the choreography too.

  • are they angels!!!!!!

  • Orla = liquid sex.

  • Orla Fallon is a pro

  • <3<3<3

  • She almost reminds me of Sarah Brightman. :)

  • Someone save me!! I've been smitten!!!

  • i love this song

  • God, her voice is amazing! Her voice is mysterious, but sweet.

  • nice

  • @ColtonsButterCup I totally agree.. Her mouth looks weird when she does that.. -__-

  • I got too see them in Savannah GA year before last, the show was wonderful, hope too go back this Year.

  • Órla Fallon has this ancient ethereal Irish goddess-like voice that injects a kind of magic feeling right into your veins when you hear it.

  • Is this live? It sounds exactly like the recorded version.^^ <3<3<3

  • @lilaDragonfly The CD is made from the concert.......

  • @lilaDragonfly...Yes this was performed Live...They sing every note to every song...This performance was recorded for the DVD/CD.. The master audio tracks were taken and processed to make the DVD's/CD's...

  • This song was made for Orla!!!!!!!!!! Do you her that? That is the sound of utter perfection!!!!

  • love this version of this song. I also like clannad;s version

  • Such a unique voice...

  • So beautiful, so haunting....

  • Gotta give the drummers some...they do an awesome job with this piece..they add the "umph" to the song..

  • Thumbs up if you think she's just gorgeous! Her singing and her looks! Just everything about her is gorgeous! =D I wish you were here, Orla =(

  • @jettiesgirl...Just do a google search for "Newgrange lyrics"....

  • @erinsaba and i suppose you,ve got everything a man could wish for... beard, muscles and a moustache!!!!! Orla is a goddess

  • @jettiesgirl

    [...]

Wait for the sun on a winter's day

And a beam of light shines across the floor

    Mysterious ring, magical ring

Forgotten is the race that no one knows

Rum de rum 'rud a derimo (x4)

  • @jettiesgirl There is a place on the east Mysterious ring, magical ring of stones The druids lived there once they said Forgotten is the race that no one knows Rum de rum 'rud a derimo (x4) The circled tomb of a different age Secret lines carved on ancient stones Heroic kings laid dow to rest Forgotten is the race that no one knows Rum de rum 'rud a derimo (x4) [...]
  • oooohhhh this song gives me major goosebumps!!!

  • @superchar44...You are absolutely right Orla does have an amazing voice...She is missed everyday,as is Meav and now Alex...Celtic Woman keeps changing as far as singers are concerned...But we have and always will have the desire to do our very best for our fans, old and NEW....Welcome to the family...

  • @superchar44...Where have you been??? Orla hasn't been with us for over a year now, since before the Songs From the Heart performance @ Powerscourt House and Gardens last August...

  • i dunt wanna think how her children feels like when she sings to them a lullaby ... whats a heaven voice <3

  • Orla has the most unique voice out of all the singers in the group...very original. I wish she hadn't left the group. Her breathing technique, vibrato, and tone quality is all shown here. So is her intonation. Bravo for Orla.

  • I absolutely love Orla's facial expressions in this song. You can tell that she's is enjoying this song! I really miss her, but I'm glad she's still pursuing a solo career! OMG! I bet you nobody know of this, but Orla will be performing with Meav soon for the first time since Celtic Woman!

  • I miss Orla. She was the best group member in my opinion. Her voice was unique, original, and simply amazing. So many singers try to copy other singers' styles, and Orla and the Celtic Woman group did not do that. Orla is amazing! I wish that she would come back to the group (and I wish that Meav would, too) but the other members are there now and it would not be fair to kick them out of the group. But I think the original group with Orla, Chloe, Meav, Lisa, and Mairead was the best.

  • what does all that crap you all are bitching about have to do with the video..........really people get a life

  • Erin Go Bragh

  • i love this song nice sound!

  • I heard that Orla is coming here in the fall to do a tour. When and where is still unknown. Get those tickets. Love her 2 pieces!! Angelic fairy. I don't think she is human, she is so beautiful.

  • Okayyyyy, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the music....

  • @march1380: I heard that Orla is coming here in the fall to do a tour. When and where is still unknown. Get those tickets. Love her to pieces. Angelic fairy. I don't think she is human, she is so beautiful.

  • she's so amazing! I just love the earthy and haunting beauty in her voice

  • Our Irish Government do not want the truth of the Forgotten Race to be known, so they have STOLEN THE 13 MOONSTONES FROM BRU NA BOINNE and "LOST" them.

These stones BELONG TO ALL OF HUMANITY.

  • i love this song

  • man what is with this guy, everyone i know always tells me that the majority of the english are stuck up stubborn steriopathic nuts who spend most of their time either sittin it out in the local inn, or smokin one.

  • @boyxboy87 Which is why I prefer the laid-back Irish to the snobby English. ;)

  • eeeeep love it

  • Lyrics to Newgrange : There is a place on the east Mysterious ring, a magical ring of stones The druids lived here once, they said Forgotten is the race that no one knows The circled tomb of a different age Secret lines carved on ancient stones Heroic kings laid down to rest Forgotten is the race that no one knows Wait for the sun on a winter's day And a beam of light shines across the floor Mysterious ring, a magical ring Forgotten is the race that no one knows
  • By the real CELTICS?

    RESPECT!

    No Problem!

  • I miss her. the fadeness and hauntingness of her voice made the song really soothing.

    Please come back Orla!

  • Orla is no longer with Celtic Woman

  • Orla is my favorite Celtic Woman. Her voice isn't too shrieky or high pitched, and most pleasing to my ears.

  • Exactly!

  • Reminds me of the Elves from The Lord of the Rings.

  • Truly the perfect voice for this type of music. One of the most beautiful voices of all time for sure.

  • so lovely and great,, i dont know what to say.. <3

  • Orla is simply fantastic (Oh, she sings well too!!)

  • orla is amazing i just got her new cd a distant shore it is amazingly good.

  • Agree 100%! Their performance is amazing!

  • This song is magical and Orla's voice is perfect for this song. I find myself singing along with it sometimes. can't stop myself from doing it. love you Orla!

  • amazing<3333

  • <3 they couldn't have had a voice any more perfect for this song.

  • Her voice really is perfect isnt it.

  • Just amazing. In the Vers the melody is so mystical and in the chorus it changed that beautiful. It´s just magic :-)

  • Songs and stories like this are EXTREMELY appealing to me. The whole thing about forgotten mystical times is incredible to me.

  • this song is so magical , it transports for some place

  • Reminds me of Old Norse and Anglo-Saxon myths, long forgotten.

  • Mhm. I'm doing a geography project on L'Anse Aux Meadows where the vikings & Norse settled in Newfundland..

  • Cool.

  • I'm not even Caucasian and I'm proud of the Celtic heritage :]

  • why am i not sorprised lol

  • @occeo Newgrange is Pre-Celtic. The Celts came from Germany is approx. 500-250 BC. Thousands of years after Newgrange was built.

  • @aveburytree Thank you for confirming this truth. His story is not her story

  • This gives me a tingle up my spine, VERY good!! Love love this song <3

  • Her song selections are always reverent and mystical, I love it.

  • i love that flute thingy the guy in green shirt is playing ! and i love orla
