I highly doubt big time Tekken players will play this game competitively. It is simply too much not Tekken. Sure, they implemented some Tekken stuff in there, but being 2D with supers and stuff, it is still a Street Fighter game with Tekken elements, but will never cater to hardcore Tekken players in the same way actual Tekken does simply because it's not Tekken with a Tekken engine. I'm not surprised by it though.

NYC Fab and Mr. Naps are both proven to be great 2D game players, and i'm sure they would give team SF a run for their money. just because it's not like tekken doesn't mean much with a new game imo. remember, a lot of 3d players have their roots in 2d games

Sure. I mean I play mainly 3D, but started in 2D as well. And yes, I've seen Anakin's submission tape as well as other more noticable Tekken players'... after I made the comment of course. Still, if they excel in Tekken with its' system only, then transition will be tougher, which may or may not turn people away, but that depends on the person as well. In the end, it's all preference and willingness to explore new systems.
