I agree. Savini is a fine artist, but I've had a ton of online friends at genre film message boards meet him, and a whopping 95% have had a weird negative experieance. The common consisance is that he is a weird, stand off-ish prick. Too sad to hear cause in DVD interviews and comnetarie tracks to all the Slasher films and Zombie epics he's done, he comes off as fun and quietly energetic. But apparently he is really weird person to person and many say he need't to stop doin' conventions ...

I met Savini at Horrorfind weekend a few years back and the man was great, he seemed a bit like an Introvert like myself but definately did not come across as smug or arrogant just uncomfortable with people crowding around him. When you catch him alone he was the nicest guy in the room.
