This is brilliant. i bought this single at a church jumble sale - must have been 5, so that's 1967. used to love it - haven't heard it for years! Bowie pretty much based the style of his delivery on this guy.

I liked Newley, but sometimes he put drama into a song where it didn't belong. Back in 1960 he made this little movie called "Jazz Boat". It was the first time I had heard him sing. I have been looking for that movie for over 40 years ,someday I'll find it.
