i was just wondering but when I was getting ready to get onto my flight from puerto vallarta to ohare I took a pic of the plane and a security guard said not to do that. Any idea why?

Its the president plane not matter of how long the route is, I don't think AF1 is as heavy and fuel consuming as a regular 747 loaded up with hundreds of people and tons of cargo either. Those 4 engines cruises pretty comfortable.

Nice..... Yeah, coming into Chicago is always busy... When I was on a Untied flight coming home. We had to waiting in the air and be deverted a little west so that Air Force One under President Bush was taking of from O'Hare.... Yeah, other traffic besides the presidents plane comes to a stop.... It is all good.. I have seen Air Force One a few times..... At different airports... It is a great looking plane.... Just great!!!

@francis2383 Yes its true. they close off the air space about 30 miles around the airport and its closed till hes landed and off the airplane and out of the airport. The day he takes off it starts all over again. It's pretty crazy.

@francis2383 Yes. AFO gets priority over everything. Actually, any plane the President is on is Air Force One. If I were to ride on the Air Force One jet, it would be called tail number SAM 28000 or SAM 29000 because I am on it not the Prez. If Prez got on a Delta flight, that flight becomes Air Force One.
