Thanks for the comment, Where about on the chase do you live? I know the development well - I am a photographer by trade and have done a few full size aerial photo ops from heli's to probably my favourite so far a Yak 52 which the guy let me fly for a little while (incl. a loop) very cool! what Piper do you fly out of North Weald? May take you up on that offer of a flight, its very kind. (camera for video was a fuji fine pix 5600, stills taken using a Canon EOS 400D)
Which remote control do you use for the piper and is it also used to activate the cameras? Which frequency is used for the wireless camera? I have much noise in my videos (1.2 GHz wireless camera) and less range of approx. 250 metres.
Hi, I use a sanwa rd6000 6ch tx, the gear switch operates the shutter on the digital camera. The wireless camera is 2.4Ghz (pro X2) 380line camera and is just runs on untill I land and unplug it from the 4cell AAA pack.
This video is not recorded via the wireless camera, I replace the 400D with a cheap finepix s5600 to capture video.
The camera is mounted inside the fuselage useing a custom built mounting jig. - everything was built to carry the camera so all radio gear had been moved to accomodate the kit.
Nice video. Very cool flying site and your plane is insanely powerful. I fly small parkflyers and am amazed by the power system specs for your plane (1000 watts!? and take-off in like 2m). My only suggestion is to try out a front-facing camera angle. The side was cool, but it's nice to see where you're going. The two trees landing approach would look neater too. I also like your other vids. Keep on posting!
@3:06 i felt sick lol good flying tho

@HedgehogHappieness Thanks, was great fun whilst it lasted - unfortunately plane was retired - and component parts sold off :0(
Still have 400D but even that doesn't get any use, because I also own a 5d to do commissioned photography.

I live on The Chase which is the main street where you were flying over.
If you ever fancy a trip in a real Piper, I fly the real thing up in North Weald. Happy to take you up for a trip.
What kind of camera were you using on the model plane?

Nice video!! Very nice setup.
We just set up a small foam piper cub with a digicam and took pictures/videos.
Great to see someone's done a high quality version of it, thanks for showing us!
