Can you give some more info about the disc? The name of the label, the catalogue number, matrix no, and the year of recording.

It's on "Eclipse" records (a British label that made budget 8" records in the Thirties - I think they were owned by Vocalion). The cat # is 288 and the matrix # is JW 874 - OR the other way round - however, the record is STAMPED 874 as well - so I'm guessing THAT's the matrix #.
'Fraid I cannot help with the year - obviously, the very early Thirties!
