Brilliant stuff! Make sure you watch "Karaoke" first, though... even though they're two separate and standalone stories, they're connected in a unique way I've never seen done in a drama before.

Yes it was one of the few sci fi shows that didn't have silly aliens in it. It was an interesting look into a possible future.
