Dr. Bramwell, regardless of her good intentions keeps making the same mistake. A refusal to hear what SHE thinks is the best thing might have dire consequences. For a doctor she is naive in the ways of the greater world outside the comforts of the parlour room. While I like the series I find her to be frustrating regardless of the era this takes place.

The singing, and preaching and playing in the church, is just like the scene in the one from Guys and Dolls maybe a bit more serious.
