The Poe-etic Principle I'm the Rapping Raven with a tale of woe, a tale once told by . . . Dead Ed Poe! Now, Edgar Allan Poe was a real cool dude, but life treated him tragically rude. When his mother died, Poe was only three, adopted out of duty by the Allan family. Moving to Virginia and growing up there, Poe attended college but his step-pa didn't care. Starved by that miser, Poe gambled to raise money to pay off his debts---read more at my Facebook Notes Dec.9
Hate to self promote, but I would really love if some of you guys checked out my poetry and gave me your thoughts. Everything on my channel is written and read by me, personally. I don't have much work up yet, but that will change soon.
Very good. In our 7th grade class each of us is assigned a stanza to the Raven and I have to act it out tomorrow. I'm not so thrilled but I've gotten better since the first day. This video has helped me, Thank You. :D
This man is the enemy of E. A. Poe. Is Rufus Griswold desciendente? ... Greetings from Argentina. Do not let these ghosts more please. Baltimore's genius does not deserve this ...
An excellent read. Very well dramatized. It is as good as any other read out there. I would end the video where the poem ends, without any breaking of character or apology for not being Vincent Price. Your dramatized recital is just as powerful and as excellent and as credible in its own right. Thank you.
That was great but I found 2 mistakes. Sorry. "Sir," SAID I. You said I said. And it is "Ah, Distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December." You missed a few words int hat line. Great so far though. I had to memorize this poem for my gth grade class. =]
Todd, you recite Poe so beautifully. . .have you ever considered doing the poem Annabell Lee? With your romantic spirit and the right music behind, you could make something beautiful out of that.
BRAVO!!!! As an English major, what a pleasure it was for me to hear this creepy classic near Halloween. And you recite as wonderfully as you sing!! Amazing!
Wow, Todd! That was so well done!!! The truth in the way you recited it is what made it seem more frightening. Wonderful job!!! Happy Hallowe'en!!! :)
Please, please PLEASE do "Ichabod Crane" this October. It's a good spook with humor. I love all your book readings and Perry Como songs especially.

It was IN the bleak December. I'm not sure if I should keep on watching after such a glaring error. But I will.

so why is The Raven so often associated with Halloween? I always thought the supernatural parts of the poem were all in that guy's head

Nice job. I had to read this poem for English, but the way you did it, wow! Thank you.

Brilliantly done, Todd! You don't have to be Christopher Walken or Vincent Price, you're a unique and original Todd Carpenter. :-)
Thanks Todd, wonderful Hallwe'en fare!

I HAVE A DEMAND AS A SUBSCRIBER! :D
Sorry to butt in on your story-telling, but there's a song I'd like to hear. Ready?
"Temptation" by Bing Crosby
You have 24 hours to comply or I *unsubscribe*. I'm joking, but I'd really like to hear you perform that tune. I've not
heard it in eons. :(
