I can't remember which sample CD is was. I'll try and see if I can find it again. I'm doing a degree in music production at the moment, but the best thing to do is try and find yourself a copy of Reason or Fruity Loops, a couple of sample cds and start from there. That's how I started, about 7 years ago now, and just progressed from there. Good luck and feel free to contact me if you need any help getting into it ;)
