  • Hey there is no bigger Dusty supporter either side of the equator, but Marcia Hines was definitely the one to sing this song!

  • Marcia Hines version of this is better IMO...a lot better

  • They say you should learn something every day and know I have..Didnt know Dusty sung this

  • marcia's versions cuts right in and kicks along. i love it. this version is ok only.

  • Great song thanks for posting this! : )

  • @TiMeCapsule123 you are most very welcome :]

  • Nice cover of the Marcia Hines classic. Both versions are great.

  • Actually, Miss Springfield's version came out over a year before Miss Hines released hers. Also, the backing track on Miss Hines' version is lifted directly from Miss Springfield's.

  • I thought the backing track sounded the same in both versions. I can't understand why I have never seen this song on any greatest hits or 'best of' Dusty Springfield collection. I think it's one of her best.

  • I agree, it's an excellent song. I like both versions too.

It was a big hit for Miss Springfield in London in January '80, but never really hit big in the rest of the country or anywhere else, and never charted. I'm guessing that's why it's never really showed up on any "Best Of" albums. It's been one two-disc set of rarities, and on one boxset in the mid 90's, and was a bonus track on her last-ever single in '95.
