Just re-heard this great song. Odd,the organ build-up at the beginning seems to have been featured in another song called "Don't Stop The Carnival"....don't know
the name of that group but it MAY have been The Sound Investments...and I can't
find that song on YouTube....it was from the Sixties....
well jackie wilson fell and was in coma in1975 till they shut off life support
before the then elvis paid the bills for jackie wilson as a true freind .and also said to have done a private version on tape o(f to be loved) for jackie wilson wife and family
@billymad I always thought that Mr. Wilson didn't fall. That someone helped him hit his head. I read many times over the years that Wilson would sing onstage with black eyes and bruises thanx to his creepy manager.
Any one who could perform as well as he did in spite of all of the turmoil must have been one heck of a guy..I miss him.
When the mafia bounced Jackie Wilson on his head that last time and he had a stroke he was in a coma for the last nine years of his life. But his only friend who remembered him in the entertainment community helped him and even paid all of his hospital bills and funeral costs...Elvis Presley. I doubt if we know all of Elvis's contributions to others.
Sorry, my bad. I went back online and checked. Elvis died in 1977. Wilson died in 1984 (What a surprise?) Here is the right scoop. Elvis paid all of Jackie's medical bills when he found out that the singer was broke! Take care
@ekocentric jackie wilson was in a coma 1975 and elvis paid for medical bills at that time as he was a very very close friend and had total respect for jackie wilson and is family
was a terrific singer one of the very best a rare and wonderful perfomer with a vocal range that was outstanding so few of these guys seem to come along nowadays i would of given my right arm to see him live thankyou!!!!!
I had the distinct privilege to have been able to play drums with Jackie in the 50's..truly one of life's wonderful experiences...long live the 50's...
In my opinion this is the best singer that ever lived. I'm a big Jackie Wilson fan. What an incredible range. You could even hear operatic tones he did in songs like "By The Light of The Silvery Moon". Not only singing but dancing too. I'm a singer/dancer and strive to be like him.
Your spot on,you don t know how good this is until you try to sing it.He would have been a god if he d been white.See that picture with Elvis,he wanted to meet Jackie. When Elvis was nothing ,he used to listen to the Dominoes on his radio.
Check out Hope Waits' very sultry cover on youtube. Putumayo Presents: Women of Jazz - Hope Waits "I'll Be Satisfied"

" I'll Be Satisfied " with more and more of
THE GREAT ONE- Jackie Wilson. Love the photos

who can even touch him??? As a Record Artist
and a performer, I think he set the standard.
For me, Jackie was THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!
Mr. EXCITEMENT, an understatement, many thanks
