  • us gran exito

  • wow exito inolvidable

  • @billymad and @ekocentric, I believe it was Dick Clark that paid Jackie Wilson's medical expenses.

  • @billymad and @ekocentric, I believe it was Dick Clark that paid Jackie Wilson's medical expenses.

  • Just re-heard this great song. Odd,the organ build-up at the beginning seems to have been featured in another song called "Don't Stop The Carnival"....don't know

the name of that group but it MAY have been The Sound Investments...and I can't

find that song on YouTube....it was from the Sixties....

  • Great voice. Wilson was a great showman and singer....

  • I use to go see him sing when I was in Brooklyn, NY ! What a guy!

  • My Mother loved this song.........Man I miss her she died in 69'

  • @stephen1622 I miss mine's too! She died in '74....she liked this one too!

  • My mother loved this man....OMG

  • He was and is Mister Entertainment!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well jackie wilson fell and was in coma in1975 till they shut off life support

before the then elvis paid the bills for jackie wilson as a true freind .and also said to have done a private version on tape o(f to be loved) for jackie wilson wife and family

  • @billymad I always thought that Mr. Wilson didn't fall. That someone helped him hit his head. I read many times over the years that Wilson would sing onstage with black eyes and bruises thanx to his creepy manager.

Any one who could perform as well as he did in spite of all of the turmoil must have been one heck of a guy..I miss him.

  • @billymad What fuking great thing for Elvis to do...I never knew that

  • no singer can touch this guy not today or then

  • Jackie Wilson was bad dude not only could he sing but dance as well.

  • Thanks for posting, I've been singing this in the shower and took the off chance it may be on You Tube!

  • Imagine it works well in the shower!

  • @juniper233 LOL NOW THE SHOWER CURTAIN WILL ACTUALLY BE SWAYING THEN STANDING STILL EHH! LMAO JK

  • Really love this! More of this kind of music and I'll be satisfied!

  • oh to go back and re-live those wonderfully music packed days...I lost in the 50's tonight.....

  • Jackie was so great.i love his music, but "higher and higehr" is the best song i ever heard.

    it's my favourite *.*

  • Love this song by Jackie. In 1958-59 I danced to this song like a maniac. Still do.

  • When the mafia bounced Jackie Wilson on his head that last time and he had a stroke he was in a coma for the last nine years of his life. But his only friend who remembered him in the entertainment community helped him and even paid all of his hospital bills and funeral costs...Elvis Presley. I doubt if we know all of Elvis's contributions to others.

  • I know he was a great guy.But he could nt have paid for Jackies funeral,he d been dead himself for 4 or 5 years.

  • Sorry, my bad. I went back online and checked. Elvis died in 1977. Wilson died in 1984 (What a surprise?) Here is the right scoop. Elvis paid all of Jackie's medical bills when he found out that the singer was broke! Take care

  • @ekocentric jackie wilson was in a coma 1975 and elvis paid for medical bills at that time as he was a very very close friend and had total respect for jackie wilson and is family

  • was a terrific singer one of the very best a rare and wonderful perfomer with a vocal range that was outstanding so few of these guys seem to come along nowadays i would of given my right arm to see him live thankyou!!!!!

  • You missed seeing the greatest artist of all time....saw him perform over 150 times...and each time was MAGIC!

  • I had the distinct privilege to have been able to play drums with Jackie in the 50's..truly one of life's wonderful experiences...long live the 50's...

  • I'd be hard pressed to compare his vocal range with nomore than 3or4 people. his performances were just heavenly with greatttt looks.

  • Amazing! Gordy wrote a great song for Wilson!

  • It's a corker! Just added an easy-click stereo link for easier enjoyment.

  • @JacobthemanBinke you mean like in: Berry Gordy???

  • I loved to move on this a thing........ years ago in Hollywood ,with cool people..JGW.

  • It's still a pretty cool sound.

  • In my opinion this is the best singer that ever lived. I'm a big Jackie Wilson fan. What an incredible range. You could even hear operatic tones he did in songs like "By The Light of The Silvery Moon". Not only singing but dancing too. I'm a singer/dancer and strive to be like him.

  • Your spot on,you don t know how good this is until you try to sing it.He would have been a god if he d been white.See that picture with Elvis,he wanted to meet Jackie. When Elvis was nothing ,he used to listen to the Dominoes on his radio.

  • Jackie must have impressed Elvis a lot because he was there for Jackie when it really counted.

  • Yeah Elvis was a kind hearted guy,and generous .

  • none better and greater than mrExcitement! put him on the MtRushmore of R&B!

  • Berry gordy wrote this motown

  • He was one cool guy - and he could dance as good as he sang!

  • Hi there, and thanks soo much for the post.

" I'll Be Satisfied " with more and more of

THE GREAT ONE- Jackie Wilson. Love the photos

that you have posted of JW. Is there anyone

who can even touch him??? As a Record Artist

and a performer, I think he set the standard.

For me, Jackie was THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!

Mr. EXCITEMENT, an understatement, many thanks

    again.

    Best, Marcie B.
