  • Is your dog a jack russel? I'm getting a jackapoo(jack russel/poodle) in 2 weeks :) I'm going to make this as its very cold in the uk right now;)

  • @Yogobeast483 Oh, a Jackapoo sounds gorgeous, I'll have to google and see what one looks like, my Son has a Jack Russel, you must be very excited. The little tan and white dog is a chihuahua and the black and white is a mini foxie. Good luck with your coat, I can't remember if I said to add seam allowances so be sure and do that if I left it out :)

  • @mycrazynan Yes thank you your dogs are gorgeous :)

  • Thank you for your videos. I make dog coats for my dogs and it is always interesting to see other designs. May I offer one piece of advice. On the coat with fleece neck and legs cut the material on the bias (across the fabric) and it will give you more stretch. Thank you once again I especially senjoyed your pattern making and I am going to make some of your coats for my chihuahua. Best wishes from Tracy-Anne, Perth WA

  • @63ozpaws Cut on the bias! What a great idea, thank you, I appreciate any suggestions and improvements.

It's nice to meet you Tracy-Anne, I hope you make some videos of your dogs coats too :)

  • Ahahahaha, thank you. Well I got an inkling when I saw the "Quack", Who names a bloody German Sheppard Quack! So I looked at your channel and it looked a bit suss. You were good though, I was'nt sure. Thanks for the fun, I love my Nephews, don't know how many of you lot are in on this.

  • I love love love love the video's!

and If you want a babysitter for your doggy's just call me xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • You have made the steps to the pattern so easy to follow. It's wonderful to create the pattern using the paper to get the fit right before transferring it to the fabric.

I think you have found a new career, making doggie coats. Yup I do, I can feel it all the way through your video. Your heart is in this 100%.

I will wait to see the rest of MY training class before I hit the Fabric store. :)

  • Thank you, thank you ever so much! :)

  • You are most welcome, I forgot to say when you cut the 2nd rectangle of paper, for the underside, the width of this piece should be from side to side across the widest part of his tummy when he is laying on his back. When you have the side seams and shoulder seams sewn, try it on your dog and if the neck and armholes are too tight start cutting them down till its a comfortable fit. I'll show adjustments at this stage in the next one. I am scared stiff but loving doing it.

  • You are doing such a fantastic job in creating this video and doing step by step instructions on how to make the doggie coat. I felt the same way as you when I started speaking on my videos. However, you have gone much further then me, you are appearing in the video. You are doing an OUTSTANDING JOB and I so appreciate everything you are doing for me to teach me how to make the doggie coats.

It's amazing that I am in the USA and thousands of miles from you and we can do this through YT. :)

  • Youtube is so cool, I cant believe it and I admit I am an addict. I'm always surprised where it takes me & the doors it opens up. I have never looked to buy anything crystal in my life as I thought it was out of my reach. I decided one night to look for some black glass beads as I had a dress that would suit them. 1st I found I did'nt have to buy any, I could make them, then, that I did'nt have to settle for glass, I have landed in the affordable world of DIY Swarovski crystal. Oh my.
