  • This is, of course, a watered-down version of the British "Till Death Us Do Part", which is now sooooooo rude, that it can't be shown any more, even though it was the most popular British comedy of the 1960s. (Alf Garnett was rude about everything and everyone, but nowadays we can't even admit that some bigots were rude about black people, even when the whole point of the show is to indicate how objectionable and stupid such bigotry is)

  • LMAO!!

  • this was one of my favorite episodes!! but what's it called?

  • @kboss2011 Its the one where they had the electrician come in to fix the fridge and he brought a lad to help him that was from prison...hmmm Ill check on the title.. and let you know if you didnt get the info already? did ya?

  • @ndmatchett - oh yea that's it + they went down to Kelsee's bar n started comparing memorys

  • "Hello Archie, how was your day!"

    "BLARAAGHGARAHG"

    "Oh, that's nice!"

  • ROFL Archie's turned into a gorilla xD

  • meathead was a progressive LOL!

  • This is from an episode shown from three viewpoints - Mike and Gloria's, Archie's, and

    Edith's -- Edith's was the correct one:)

  • What episode is this from?

i just saw another clip almost like this but with Archie's veiw (i think) on the family.

    Is this Mike's veiw?

  • It's from "the regierator episode" where Mike and Archie each give their account of when the fridge broke down and why they have to eat out tonight. It's one of the greatest episodes. Ron Glass (later of Barney Miller fame) played the assisstant to the repairman. Much hillarity ensued.

  • yeah... thanks, but I finaly found the episode after I rented the DVDs at the library!!

    Thanks for replying though!!

    ^_^

  • the elevator story its on youtube

  • we miss you archie

  • Archie is on crack. LOL

  • Several comments have mentioned Edith as being "stupid". This is not the case and a terrible misconception. Edith was the voice of reason and served as the balance between Mike and Archie who were polar opposites. Creator, Norman Lear credited Edith with being the "smartest, most dynamic" character. Her dingbat-i-ness is what makes her lovable. Edith was ignorant, but she was not stupid. Do not confuse ignorance with stupidity.

  • Ah you're just being ignorant........or....or stupid. Whichever is funnier.

  • ok thunmbs down when its the truth read the bible

  • My favorite words of archies-pigmant of your imagination, pinko meathead, pinkenscrewed ideas..... The best is when maude lost the chair back to archie and she says "sit there archie, but be careful not to sit too hard, you'll crush your brains".

  • my fav: Edith's "groinocologist"

  • not suppose to divorce unless your abused or there has been adultry commited so yea

  • ya but he was old school, fought in WW2, where the man of the house ruled. Also Edith was stupid and put up with it all (don't forget it was just a TV show) And in the late 70's people stayed married no matter if the husband was an asshole or not!

  • Yeah I'm glad time has changed, but I wouldn't be surprised if stuff like this is still happening, it's not like the social service departments have closed since the 70's. This show is a gem as far as social issues of the time.

  • LOL funniest show ever

  • I am on the floor!!!!!

  • how did any of the actors not crack up here?

  • Funny, LMAO!! I love these different versions of what happened. Do you know if there are any bloopers from this show, that would be hilarious!

  • LOL, Great episode!

  • right, this was off of "everbody tells the truth" episode, one of the best... ofcorse I think all of them was the best one... I could never choose my favorite episode, I argue with myself about which one I like the most

  • That was one of Archies dreams I think....very funny! Thanks for sharing.

  • Actually that was from the episode "Everybody Tells The Truth" when the frigde breaks and they tell 3 diff stories about the repairmen at a restaurant...

  • I remember this so much from my childhood. It was on Saturday nights during the first several seasons if I remember correctly. I had a crush on Sally Strothers back then! Thanks for posting!

  • I thought it was on Sundays for some reason. Did they switch later?

  • Never seen Archie being that mad and it sure is funny!

  • lol too funny!! thanks for posting!!!

  • Archie bunker is GOD!

  • LOL. Merry Christmas, Xbox Guy ^_^
