PHilippe looks pissed off in the end. I do think the set up was poorly arranged. Despite that P. managed to recreate an atmosphere, but honestly... that was harsh.
Ach ja... Jana... How rude (vulgar) is this journalist and this broadcasting... And, fortunately, Phil is so professional (and polite), he transcends all of this vulgarity !!! I think their performance (of Jérôme and him) WAS to set aside of this poor context and to success to pass on emotions !!! Phil's challenge (besides technical voice work) is this sort of ordeal, too !!!
Yes, it is unfortunate, but there you go. Nonetheless, it never ceases to amaze me how in France people of the calibre of Jarouusky even get to appear on these more popular shows. It is something you very rarely see in the UK and just goes to show how much more relaxed the French are about high culture. Is it the same in other countries on the continent?
And have you seen how carelessly and quickly is he carried by his arm?? :-(
Until when the poor PhJ will have to answer ALWAYS the SAME rudimentary questions?? (besides bad jokes). The basic work of a journalist (I don't say a good one, just an acceptable one) should be to arrive more trained to the moment he has the privilege of interviewing such an artist as Philippe... And he is always so patient and polite....!
The poor Mr. Ducrot is not even mentioned, no? :-(
L'intervieweur est absolument insupportable...

You´ve got the very right word, Sophie!
Even vulgar and totally unprofessional.

Thanks for posting this video.
I watched this broadcast live last Friday, and I really did not enjoy it... I only stayed for Philippe Jaroussky and Pierre Arditi.
I hate when the journalist tells Philippe "rassurez-nous, vous n'êtes pas castré" => is it supposed to be funny??!!
