Chicago is a cesspool of corruption. But, except for the Rezco situation, there haven't been any credible accusations that Obama personally benefited or participated in the corruption. But...there's no question he rubbed shoulders with myriad scumbags. He had no choice, coming out of Chicago.

Harry Truman came out of the Pendergast machine in Kansas City which was terribly corrupt. But, Truman, like Obama never personally participated or benefited. Just turned a blind eye where necessary.

Your theory is unfounded. Try actually reading the criminal complaint. Begin on page 56. Paragraphs 89 and 106 indicate that Blago learned of Jarret's initial interest and ultimate disinterest from media reports. That has not been widely reported by the media because they want the "taint" story to run for as long as possible. Its obvious Blago had no direct line to Obama and was merely preparing a "pitch" that was never actually delivered. Read the complaint,its right there in black and white.

Also,check out paragraph 97 which indicates that Blago told a member of his staff to leak Candidate 2's name to the press "to send a message to the President-elect's people" but that Blago "did not want it known that the message was from [him]."Moreover, paragraph 103 indicates that Blago told another staff member to leak Candidate 5's name to the press for the same reason.Why hasn't the media reported on Blago's false leaks?Why was Blago trying to spur Obama to call if contact was then present?

The questions about Obama just seem to grow and grow. and i believe the u.s. attorney just said obama wasn't implicated in this indictment. that doesn't mean that they aren't building a separate case for obama.
