the reason why the characters just fly away when you punch them is because this is a heavily censored version of hokuto no ken . just google the japanese version to see the huge difference.

The good thing of this game is this 4 steps.

1- Download Mame

2- Download Rom File

3- Download cheats.zip

And finally 4- You finish the game with cheats and this time you can jump the game to Stage 4!

I remember getting a Japanese Mega Drive in 1990, I got it with Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Super Hang On and ESWAT. I never got to play this, Rambo and Dick Tracy. Final Fight on the Mega CD is my fave scrolling fighter, then I'd say Street of Rage, then Golden Axe.

I remember playing this game and I didn't even get through the first level before I thought it was dull. I mean what's up with the enemies being defeated in one hit? The only enemies it seems that can take more than one hit are the bosses. I suppose it gets harder as it goes along. I love side scrolling beat e ups but this is one of the most boring games.

Last Battle is, to me, a really enjoyable game. A game where I can forget about today's games and remember how it was back then, and it's great. I made a playthrough myself.

So the game is cheesy and badly translated, but does that ruin the experience? The answer is no. At the time there were alot of really cheesy games and there were some japanese imported games that were butchered by americans, but that's the beauty of it, it represents another time in gaming.

I remember when I would play Last Battle back in the Sega era. I would try to level-up that one bar. As much as I could before continueing with the game. If you rush through the game without leveling up that bar. The game will just rip you apart after a certain point.

On top of the animated differences the story is a bit less "now you have the look of a hero!" and the characters name is Kenshiro rather than Aaaaarzak.

all is not well with this game as i saw it at anime north 07 in box with manual for over $90

however a great sega master got it for $5.99 no box no manual with a price sticker on it and after 3 months it was beat it by watching youtube videos on how to defeat the purple guy

however there was one last battle to do as the 2nd last boss in the crystal background place was almost unbeatable. after much play, he was defeated and the last 8 levels were easy and the game was won & za waldo was good

Yeah, i think everyone knows this is Fist of the North Star. Specifically, its Hotoko no Ken 2. This game's plot picks up at the very beginning of that anime. Too bad i never beat this game to see if the story sync's up.

I bought this game because it was a relatively cheap game in 1990 at the bargain price of $29.99. I remember playing it for about 20 minutes and it went back on the shelf.
