@CmdrRipley No matter where I turn, what I say,no one understands why. Why all the nostalgia, the goose bumps from the main menu, what it is here to call "art",
and it makes me sad, that from all the people in the world, most, don't really care, don't understand or don't know, and that I can not share what magic and childish wisdom is truly hidden beyond this but with random people on youtube.
@PsychoticEarwig Wow... I really understand how you feel. Its the same for me. No one I know of has played this game, no one even knows it exists. This is truly amazing and gives you so much, every single time you play it or talk about it, or hear the music.
I wish I knew you better, or someone like you. And we could talk about otherwordly magic through the night.
@CmdrRipley In my case, whenever I mention it. People roll their eyes. I first played it when it came out,I was 8 at the time, and I am proud of myself for recognizing it. I always felt as if it was made "for me". The Idea of a crumbling balance has always been my view of the world.,and upholding the balance (as a libra) was always my duty in a sense. When I play it ,I feel as if it is a true story,in some form of divine knowledge, and I know that it is true, even if it is just metaphorical.
@PsychoticEarwig I think I was like 11 or something. Yeah, that really was the feeling. It was a big blue box with Aprils face on the front. It kind of... spoke to me. "Den längsta resan" in swedish. The longest journey. A game that never ends. And it didnt. Because it will live with you and beside you for the rest of your life. You always have this other dimension to things, to life. Yes, it feels like a duty actually... Upholding the balance like April.
@CmdrRipley I am not sure. I did always love what certain aspects there are to the world of conspiracy theories and urban legends. However. I do not see how a game whose purpose is to be played with others could ever offer something to an individual. (other than role playing). It is still too early to tell. It all depends on the payment system and how original and innovative they make it in terms of gameplay. I assume you are looking forward to it?
@PsychoticEarwig Yes, I am a little disapointed it turned out to be a mmorpg game, but what the hell, I love the concept of it, so I'll play it for sure!
@PsychoticEarwig Yes, I did play it. ...Hmm... I have a hard time describing it, because I dont really know how I feel about it. Ofcourse I was sad because it wasnt anywhere near TLJ... But I guess it was still a good game. I didnt like that everything evolved around this little girl, it was just too micro for me. I have always liked the macroperspective on things. How about you?
@CmdrRipley I thought it lacked where the original blossomed, in "spirit". The music does not capture the moment. Attempts at innovation of gameplay such as the "focus field" break immersion and flow. Delivery of certain details made it almost annoying (little girl for example). Puzzles lacked creativity and abstract thought. It built upon the fame of the prequel. However it kept the magic of the original in one sense or the other.
