DUDE THAT Arsenal looks sexy ass hell. Im so jelous I got a WASR 10 with the tapco infruse stock OD green but that is a sexy AK as is . you dont need to change nothing . i would keep it stock and buy the romanion ak and tacticool that one out .keep that one as it is.
I'm stuck on whether to get the Arsenal 106 (ak 101) or and arsenal ak 47, any suggestions? i live in the U.S so i thought it might be easier to get 5.56 ammo rather than the 7.62, this will be my first rifle
@Sporora Yeah I saw that, but I just got my brand new Yugo build by Century. Atlantic Firearms didnt have them at the time, they just got them back in stock..didnt know they had chrome lined barrel, but new they were not build bu Century.
@johhnyfasnazzy No I haven't noticed any bubbling at all. Although I will admit I haven't pushed the gun like some would prefer. Just casual shooting at targets,
Thats so sick dude i just got one yesterday just jave to wait to get cleared but i did buy the butt and rails and pistol grip and the grip stick i will put on it i sure cant wait to take it out!!
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ hey man, you were talking about ak's in the range of 400 dollars... ive seen them googling, but i have no idea which brand is most reliable. if you have any information on the cheaper brands and which brands are the best hit me up please. thanks ahead of time.
production of the AK-47 IN RUSSIA STOPPED in 1980!! ARSENAL NOT ELIGIBLE TO TRADE UNDER THE BRAND Kalashnikov! This producer and receiver PLANT IZHMASHSH city of Tula, Russia!!
ARSENAL IS THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE PRODUCTION OF NON ORIGINAL passing it off RUSSIAN BREND
Arsenal? Those scum still make fake AKs. Gotta love the pathetic US government. Allow sorry copies and blatant rip-offs of VASTLY inferior quality, not genuine thing. Russians would gladly approve the deal and send in several thousand genuine AK-103s if a good large order was made. Cold-forged barrels, accurate assembly. Too bad US is obsessed with accessory rails. Just get a dove-tail mountable adapter and install the sight you like.
@SuperBlockster - Young man, actually AKM is a less expensive version - not necessarily a more modern version. The original AK47 has a machined receiver. It's an expensive process requiring skilled Machinist and very time consuming to manufacture. AKM's receiver is made with a process that is called stamped steel. So, instead of having a highly skilled Machinist doing the work by chiseling a block of steel into a receiver, the manufacturing process uses a sheet of steel and stamp on it.
@Search4diabetescure did not know that i thought the ak's were stamped so it was a less complicated process,"SImple is good,Complicated is bad," more or less of what mkhail quotes
@delawareindahouse If you go to Arsenals website they still list that they sell AKs made in the US, Bulgaria, and Russia. I'm pretty sure they still produce and sell them. Check out their website for more answers. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Great looking rifle. I've been debating on whether to get SGL21 (SGL24-61 NY compliant) or build a gas piston 6.8SPC AR15. I probably will never have to shoot anything beyond 300 yards, so I guess the Saiga is a good, and economical choice.
Arsenal uses whatever came from the Ishavesk (sp?) factory when they were imported from Russia, chrome lined barrels that are the same spec as any other AK out there.
I've got a Saiga 7.62 that I converted myself, as it was the only econmical way to have a brand new, Russian AK 103, and I'm pretty handy with tools. It's not as pretty as the Arsenal Saiga, but it is pretty much the same rifle, I just haven't got around to adding a proper lower hand guard retainer, Gas block, and FSB/flash hider, as I do not own the tools to do it myself. I kept the Saiga bolt hold open though, an added Saiga specific feature that AK's do not have, which is handy.
i personally prefer BUlgarian ak-74s i own three different makes. with the exception of the century arms ak74s. i heard they have not been bad though. in the beginning they were using .223 barrels on their ak74's. but i own interarms, waffen werks, and a unmarked one. hope you enjoy your arsenal bud!
I'm the owner of an Arsenal SA-93 and if your a big guy it fits in your arms like it was ment to be and I'm 6.6. I love the old look with the thumb hole butt stock.
I'm wondering...are Arsenal's the ONLY AK's imported here that have new parts inside the rifle? I'm really attracted to that but $800 is pretty steep for me...Do really like the Arsenal, though.
@bkarl95 That's one of those questions that doesn't have a correct answer, it depends on who you ask. I think it would be safe to say that 90% of people would agree a Ruger 10/22 is a better gun.
Hey thanks for getting back to me about my SGL24 believe it or not it is hard to find a good gunsmith in NJ an if you do they want no part of the AK47 at all, this state sucks for gun lovers. But thanks anyway and if you have put on that Midwest Quad Rail I would really like to see it don't known if you made a video yet, but they seem kinda bulky to me let us know if you like it. Thanks jem42670
Hi thanks for the great video, I just bought a Saiga SGL24 (NJ Legal) it does not cum with a muzzle break but you can have one in NJ just not a flash suppressor. For some reason I can't get the thread protecter off I don't no if it will cum off or if it is threaded at all and will take a muzzle break. Can't find any info on the SGL24 If you have any suggestions or answers I would really appreciate it. Thanks John
@jem42670 Honestly I don't know what to tell you if you can't get the thread protector off. If you can't figure it out I would just take it to a gunsmith and have him look at it. My guess he would do it for cheap or probably for free. Sorry I couldn't help more.
Great video I just bought a Saiga SGL24 ( NJ Legal) but pretty much the same gun and I feel the same way about the stock To Small. I am looking at some new stocks but can't make up my mind Very interested in what your going to be doing with the gun. Thanks and keep the vids coming.
with the 7, 62 rounds- I would say you have a way better option of shooting long range than with the usual 223. rem. Not so much with assault rifles of course, but defintely with any kind of gun you wanna go hunting with, that might be out there...
@DinoHunter2 Well you could be correct. Unfortunately Robbie didn't give me many details so I'm sorry if I gave him the wrong answer. If Robbie would've said the slant break he was asking about uses the 14x1 I would've informed him that it wouldn't work. Thanks for the clarification, take care.
@tohakoss SGL21 not SGL31, it fires the 7.62x39 not the 5.45x39.5, hence it's an AK47 not an AK74.
It also looks exactly like an AK47, it doesn't look like an ak74, you're completely flat out wrong and this video gives about 10 reasons why which start with the title to the video and the description.
Usually I wouldn't call you a complete fool, but you decided to offer your expert opinion on why everyone else was wrong like a douche.
@tohakoss Look at the mag, it's chambered in 7.62x39. The 74 is chambered in 5.45x39, the mag being straighter on the 74. You're and idiot, fuck you. : /
Whats up man. I'm trying to figure out how to cenvert the magpul stock to my ak and I saw a video yesterday and now I can't find it. I think it was you but i'm still not sure. But I want to know what i need and how to connect it. Just get back with me, I would appreciate it
@2Shoot4Life Yeah man I do have a video showing how you can install a Magpul buttstock on an AK. Just look through my videos and find one called "Vltor Buffer Tube & Magpul CTR Stock (install)" and that should explain it. I will warn you that you have to have a Mil Spec CTR stock, the Vltor won't work with a commercial stock. Check it out and let me know if you have anymore questions. Take care.
@Robbieifyoucan ak74 style work awesome at the recoil reduction and the climb of the weapon if you want something better go for the primary weapon systems one for this thread
Hey thanks for the video i ve been trying to figure out witch ak i wanna get. but going back to something u said in your video bout the magazines that lock back. they lock back to to keep the bolt from ruining your follower inside the mag. again thanks.
@lucky1fishin I wasn't curious why they locked back, they do so for AR people who are used to the bolt holding open on the last shot. The magazine is specifically designed to hold the bolt open after the last shot. I wasn't curious what exactly they do to the magazine to make it hold the bolt open. Thanks for watching and commenting. If you get your AK let me know, you should definitely do a video of it and share it with people. Take care.
On removing the stock, the screw keeping the KVAR stock in place kind of looks like a Star of David or (Jewish star), can I just use a regular flathead to unscrew that?
@RyanR3volution Personally I would get a bit that fits the screw exactly. I flathead would probably work but you run the risk of stripping the screw or slipping and scratching your gun. If you do decide to try the flathead screw driver just remember to take your time. The last thing you need is to slip and permanently damage your gun. Hope that helped.
@ELCHINGODEWILMAS310 What do you expect from an AK, that's what a traditional AK pistol grip looks like. I don't think you can really judge a rifles build quality by its pistol grip alone. Oh and yes, the Arsenals have a much better fit and finish than a WASR 10 or other cheaper AK's. Nothing against cheaper AK's, they work just fine but the build quality isn't as nice.
Hey musty yeti! Is there a version that ships with the picatinny rail? I've seen them on K-var but I wanted to confirm with someone who actually has and SGL21...
i got 1 of those for my birth day. itz so cool. i shot it on full auto! i just got my class3 liscense yesterday. i hav da 1s with da clear mag. itz 1 of mi favorit gunz i own
@islandsoljahz The difference between the two is the SGL21 has an accessory lug to attach a grenade launcher to, whereas the SGL20 doesn't have one at all. I've also heard some people say the finish is more durable on the SGL21 than the SGL20, but I can't confirm that.
@fatboyR6 Thanks man, the Arsenal is a great rifle so I see why you've been after one. The only advice I can tell you is check gunbroker(dot)com regularly for deals. Another thing you can do, that I do, is befriend your FFL dealer and have him search the country for someone selling it for the cheapest possibly price. My dealer is awesome because he doesn't mark it up to make a profit like most do. Unfortunately I don't how else to help you out. Take care man, good luck with the search.
@12401275 Yeah Arsenal's are around 700 dollars. You pay that much because the build quality is so much better than the cheaper AK's. AR-15's have the same dilemma, you could get one for 600 bucks but it's going to be a lower end AR. There are AR's out there for twice that price, but your getting a much better rifle. If you have the money why not buy one of the best AK's you can... something with an excellent fit and finish. No one is ripping you off, it's your choice ti spend what you want
@cdubb3 Well I didn't have any of the stock furniture on long. What rounds I did shoot the heat shield did a great job of displacing the heat. I didn't notice any bubbling at all around the edges of the polymer. It would probably take numerous rounds shot repeatedly to truly test out the handguards.
@rji To be honest I don't own any steel mags. I will be getting some shortly and when I do I'll test them out and let you know. Sorry I couldn't help more.
That stock is smaller because that gun is easier to handle then your average AK 47 because of the design. If it jumped around like your average AK you would NEED a giant clumsy wood stock
@blackbandana878 The muzzle break actually does a pretty good job with the recoil. I wouldn't say it's insane but I would say it's definitely noticeable. Like they say, every little bit helps.
@blackbandana878 The muzzle breaks are awesome. When I first shot mine, I got my stance ready only to find out it felt like an AR15. Im sure that muzzle break played a vital part in that
Dude you have some awesome parents............ Are you planning on changing the stock and grip to a wood stock!!? I would!!!!!!!
Oh and please dont listen to any of these haters that give you shit!!!!!! i dont know why you even respond lol! They are just mad cause you have what they wish they did!
@shawnezaz10 Well they they just held on to the gun until Xmas so I wouldn't open it because if it was at my place that sucker would've been open weeks before. Well I previously planned on going tactical with my AK but once I got half way through it I realized I didn't like it. I'm now going old school with wood furniture. Thanks a lot man for the kind words, It's hard for me to ignore people that talk trash. I don't know why people feel the need to do that, it blows my mind.
Another quick question - Wouldn't the Arsenal SGL21 be a variant of the Russian AK-100 series (specifically the AK-104 that is chambered in 7.62x39), not the AK-47? Thanks! - Mike
@3aCCCP I do not want this to come across rude so please don't take it the wrong way. However I did say at 2:22 that I wasn't getting into the details, that when people see this rifle they see an AK-47. To me that's all I need, if it looks like an AK-47 and shoots the 7.62X39 then I'm going to call it an AK-47. I know that it's an AK-104 technically but I'm still going to call it an AK-47. Thanks.
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ no problem! I didn't mean anything. I'm thinking of buying one. I have a Yugo M70 AK-47 built by Century, and I am looking to get another AK rifle. The Arsenal AK SGL21 was recommended to me and I have been doing some research on it. Whatever the number it is still an AK - Автомат Калашникова/Kalashnikov's Machine Gun. Mikhail Kakashnikov is still alive and well, and working at the Izhmash armory making SGL21s and other variations on his original invention. - Mike
@3aCCCP I know you didn't mean anything mean. It's really hard to read text and understand where the person is coming from and with what attitude. Sometimes I just reply without thinking the person probably didn't mean any harm. I seem to get the same messages over and over and it wears on me... I'm guilty of over reacting from time to time. So no worries you are all good man. Arsenals are GREAT AK's. Keep my updated on whether you buy one or not, or if you just have questions. Take care.
What is the length of the buttstock and width at its thickest part. The only mags that I know of that hold the bolt back after the last shot are Yugo mags. I have 13 Yugo BHO 30 round mags and they are great! Does the Arsenal SGL21 take any standard mag AK mag? Thanks! Mike
@3aCCCP Hey man you are going to have to give me a couple days to answer that question; I seem to have misplaced my tape measure and my buttstock. My house is a freakin mess right now so I'll try to locate everything and get back to you. How do you like the Yugo magazines that hold the bolt open??? Well the Arsenal as no problems with the Circle 10's or a Bulgarian 40 round mag, but Tapco 30 round magazines won’t fit in mine. However, I've heard other SGL21's run Tapcos just fine.
@DEMCAD Are you serious? First I off I did say at the VERY BEGINNING that I'm just showing the rifle and "regurgitating some information that I've read and seen online". I will agree I can't speak to this specific rifles functionality, reliability, etc. However I can speak to the facts, which I do in the video. That it has a brand new Russian made receiver, how Arsenal converts it, it's caliber, parts, etc. It's a common understanding that AK's are reliable and Arsenals are top of the line.
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ wow never thought id hear that kind of talk coming from demcad..but anyway youre fine bro..forget what everyone says..i have reviews on guns before i even shot them.who said reviews had to be made only if youve shot the gun?who made that up?smh
@jmmurdy Yes I believe some AK's do have chrome lined barrels, I'm not completely positive though. I don't think many people bash Arsenal's, it's a fairly common belief that Arsenal's are top of the line AK's. The people that do bash them are normally those that are jealous, of course they would never admit that, but they are. I don't bash other guns, I don't need to do that in order to make me feel better about mine... but some people do.
hey how did you go about purchasing one of these? i would like to purchase one online but im not sure which companies to trust to purchase from. and hey i own a gp wasr 1063 and would love to sell it for the money to buy one of these

My parents are moving to America because the AK-47 is prohibited in Canada and the firearms' laws suck. LOL can't wait 'till I get to become an American too!
@airsoftguy85rocks Wow you're telling me your parents are moving to another country just because the AK-47 is illegal in Canada. If that's the case why didn't they move years ago, why now?
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ They had to wait until my Aunt and Uncle said "yes" to taking care of me so that I could still go to school while they were getting the greencard and whatnot. We are also moving because of the Firearm's laws in Canada (Stupid laws = Magazine restrictions (5 rounds), PAL to get firearms, RPAL to get Handguns, Can't own "uncommon" handguns, CANNOT CONCEAL/OPEN CARRY!!!!, etc) You should now be very grateful for being born in the US.
@airsoftguy85rocks Trust me I've been grateful for many many years. Most gun owning americans know the gun ownership situation in Canada and Europe, and we know how lucky we are to have the rights we do. So thank you for trying to help pump up my american pride but you're too late. Good luck getting down to the US, and have fun owning guns.
@reptile202 Please, don't remind me. If I knew then what I know now I would've bought a few of them at the $499 price tag. I wasn't to happy with having to spend around $700 but I wanted a high quality AK.
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ I know how you feel, man. I was scrolling around looking for the cheapest Arsenal and ran across the old $499 sale from years ago. Now, the cheapest I could find is an SGL21-61 for $682.65. I feel like I'm getting ripped off compared to that past sale. I really feel sorry for the guys who spend $700+, and the next day they were $499.
Hahah :D I can't belive that you're moving to another country just because of guns :D lol:D Here, in Russia many people don't care about any law and use a military(not for civil use) guns without any license :D Real military AK-47 illegaly bought...

@AnimeFanatic5602 Well I hope you can save up the money soon. Although there are much cheaper options for AK's if your strapped for cash. Just making sure you are aware of that.
@AnimeFanatic5602 Hey man I totally understand that. I was just making sure you were aware that there are cheaper options out there if you really want an AK. Good luck man, I hope you get that rifle soon.
Hey my name is Jeff, I bought a new ak47 from EAA zapa and i didnt do research before I bought it and im learning alot now. Ive heard its a real nice ak. But I came across a huge problem the mags are single stack, I took it to a gun smith and said he could change it to where the gun could take double stack mags for $100. I was wondering if you knew if the procedure could be done easily with say a dremel tool? Or should I go ahead and pay the gun smith to do it. Thanks for your opinion.
@Truthhurts3pm Yeah man you have to be careful, especially when buying AK's. There are a lot of AK's out there that are horribly made. You need to figure out which one you want and at least come onto YouTube and watch some reviews. Something like that I would have a gunsmith do for sure, especially if it only costs 100 bucks. As far as I know all you have to do is widen the mag well, but if you screw it up there's nothing you can do. Whereas if he screws it up, he has to fix or replace it.
Great review, dude. Breaking it down to every last detail. Most reviews state if the gun is good or not, and never going into the little things. The mag wobble preventing method, for example. Very few people would sadly add that.
Oh, and why the hell did I think it was an airsoft review first? =| Gotta pay attention.
@kazetehskylord Hey dude thanks a lot. I try and make sure I cover as many details as possible when doing these videos. I'm sure I left some stuff out but I did my best. I don't know why you thought it was airsoft, I can assure you it is not.
@imiritu Well I wont argue with you at all on that one. People have their own tastes, especially when it comes to AK's. Personally I don't mind the smaller barrel, it helps cut down on weight. Now I'm sure the barrel could be ruined if you shoot a large amount of ammo through it. However for my intended use I don't find that to be an issue at all. Thanks for stopping by.
sweet ak, my only problem with arsenals guns are is they are overpriced. i mean what did you pay for this 700-900$. its built on a saiga 7.62 which is under 400$. so you can buy that and build it exactly how you want it for less. def nice gun but im planning on getting the saiga and customizing it. enjoy your vids keep it up nutnfancy is gay
@coolbuddykermit Hey man you're totally right. I said so myself that it has a high price tag, especially for an AK. I was willing to spend that money because I wanted a top of the line AK. In regards to you talking about building it for cheaper, that can be said with almost every gun. I bought my Bushmaster Patrolman for around a 1,000 dollars but could've built one for much cheaper. I just wanted gun in hand, you know? Take care man, thanks for watching and commenting.
@c0boy Wow man you lucked out getting one for 500 bucks. I still haven't shot mine yet but I already love it. To be honest my AR hasn't left the gun safe yet either. Did you notice that your Arsenal was difficult to disassemble at first? Me and others are finding it hard to get the AK apart.
@c0boy Yeah I knew they would be tight but it's almost ridiculous. I've seen videos of people taking apart their AK and the gas tube easily comes off. Although that could be the case because they have a cheaper AK, I don't know.
You should get a hold of the Korean 50 rd AK drum magazines for review. At this time they're prettty reasonally priced (knock on wood) around $50 at AIM surplus. Just curious if they are decent.
@DLEE625 Yeah I would really like to get a hold of any 50 round drum, no matter the make. Although I already have money committed to finishing off the Arsenal AK-47. Once I buy the Midwest Industries quad rail for it I'll definitely look into a 50 round drum... I'll keep you posted.

I'm wondering...are Arsenal's the ONLY AK's imported here that have new parts inside the rifle? I'm really attracted to that but $800 is pretty steep for me...Do really like the Arsenal, though.

bkarl95 8 months ago

Thanks jem42670
jem42670 8 months ago
Hi thanks for the great video, I just bought a Saiga SGL24 (NJ Legal) it does not cum with a muzzle break but you can have one in NJ just not a flash suppressor. For some reason I can't get the thread protecter off I don't no if it will cum off or if it is threaded at all and will take a muzzle break. Can't find any info on the SGL24 If you have any suggestions or answers I would really appreciate it. Thanks John
jem42670 8 months ago
@jem42670 Honestly I don't know what to tell you if you can't get the thread protector off. If you can't figure it out I would just take it to a gunsmith and have him look at it. My guess he would do it for cheap or probably for free. Sorry I couldn't help more.

with the 7, 62 rounds- I would say you have a way better option of shooting long range than with the usual 223. rem. Not so much with assault rifles of course, but defintely with any kind of gun you wanna go hunting with, that might be out there...

Why is everybody keep calling it AK-47. It looks exactly like AK-74.
tohakoss 10 months ago
@tohakoss SGL21 not SGL31, it fires the 7.62x39 not the 5.45x39.5, hence it's an AK47 not an AK74.
It also looks exactly like an AK47, it doesn't look like an ak74, you're completely flat out wrong and this video gives about 10 reasons why which start with the title to the video and the description.
Usually I wouldn't call you a complete fool, but you decided to offer your expert opinion on why everyone else was wrong like a douche.
ihaterobbie123 10 months ago
@tohakoss Look at the mag, it's chambered in 7.62x39. The 74 is chambered in 5.45x39, the mag being straighter on the 74. You're and idiot, fuck you. : /
crest2598 10 months ago
@tohakoss It looks nothing like a AK-74...
kieranfbXD 10 months ago

2Shoot4Life 10 months ago
@2Shoot4Life Yeah man I do have a video showing how you can install a Magpul buttstock on an AK. Just look through my videos and find one called "Vltor Buffer Tube & Magpul CTR Stock (install)" and that should explain it. I will warn you that you have to have a Mil Spec CTR stock, the Vltor won't work with a commercial stock. Check it out and let me know if you have anymore questions. Take care.

Hey thanks for the video i ve been trying to figure out witch ak i wanna get. but going back to something u said in your video bout the magazines that lock back. they lock back to to keep the bolt from ruining your follower inside the mag. again thanks.
lucky1fishin 10 months ago
@lucky1fishin I wasn't curious why they locked back, they do so for AR people who are used to the bolt holding open on the last shot. The magazine is specifically designed to hold the bolt open after the last shot. I wasn't curious what exactly they do to the magazine to make it hold the bolt open. Thanks for watching and commenting. If you get your AK let me know, you should definitely do a video of it and share it with people. Take care.

@MustyYetisTacticalHQ
On removing the stock, the screw keeping the KVAR stock in place kind of looks like a Star of David or (Jewish star), can I just use a regular flathead to unscrew that?
RyanR3volution 10 months ago
@RyanR3volution Personally I would get a bit that fits the screw exactly. I flathead would probably work but you run the risk of stripping the screw or slipping and scratching your gun. If you do decide to try the flathead screw driver just remember to take your time. The last thing you need is to slip and permanently damage your gun. Hope that helped.

the grip looks "halfass" like the wasr 10 ? are these really that much better than the cheaper Ak's?
ELCHINGODEWILMAS310 10 months ago
@ELCHINGODEWILMAS310 What do you expect from an AK, that's what a traditional AK pistol grip looks like. I don't think you can really judge a rifles build quality by its pistol grip alone. Oh and yes, the Arsenals have a much better fit and finish than a WASR 10 or other cheaper AK's. Nothing against cheaper AK's, they work just fine but the build quality isn't as nice.

Nice gun man! I wanna get one! What's the difference between the SGL21 and the SGL20?
islandsoljahz 10 months ago
@islandsoljahz The difference between the two is the SGL21 has an accessory lug to attach a grenade launcher to, whereas the SGL20 doesn't have one at all. I've also heard some people say the finish is more durable on the SGL21 than the SGL20, but I can't confirm that.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 10 months ago

fatboyR6 10 months ago
@fatboyR6 Thanks man, the Arsenal is a great rifle so I see why you've been after one. The only advice I can tell you is check gunbroker(dot)com regularly for deals. Another thing you can do, that I do, is befriend your FFL dealer and have him search the country for someone selling it for the cheapest possibly price. My dealer is awesome because he doesn't mark it up to make a profit like most do. Unfortunately I don't how else to help you out. Take care man, good luck with the search.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 10 months ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ ..thanks bro. My dealer sells that rifle way over priced. Like $950 and up!!!! F that!!!
fatboyR6 10 months ago
@fatboyR6 700???? really?? dam here in arizona i got my ak for 350 and it works great
dont pay more than 500 for an ak they are trying to rip u off
12401275 10 months ago
@12401275 Yeah Arsenal's are around 700 dollars. You pay that much because the build quality is so much better than the cheaper AK's. AR-15's have the same dilemma, you could get one for 600 bucks but it's going to be a lower end AR. There are AR's out there for twice that price, but your getting a much better rifle. If you have the money why not buy one of the best AK's you can... something with an excellent fit and finish. No one is ripping you off, it's your choice ti spend what you want
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 10 months ago
So how is the heat shield working so far ?
cdubb3 11 months ago
@cdubb3 Well I didn't have any of the stock furniture on long. What rounds I did shoot the heat shield did a great job of displacing the heat. I didn't notice any bubbling at all around the edges of the polymer. It would probably take numerous rounds shot repeatedly to truly test out the handguards.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 11 months ago
Does your sgl21 have a little mag wobble with steel mags?
rji 11 months ago
@rji To be honest I don't own any steel mags. I will be getting some shortly and when I do I'll test them out and let you know. Sorry I couldn't help more.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 11 months ago
That stock is smaller because that gun is easier to handle then your average AK 47 because of the design. If it jumped around like your average AK you would NEED a giant clumsy wood stock
ChroniclesofPyth 11 months ago
Hey man i was just wondering... how is the muzzle break.. does it suppress a good amount of the recoil?
blackbandana878 11 months ago
@blackbandana878 The muzzle break actually does a pretty good job with the recoil. I wouldn't say it's insane but I would say it's definitely noticeable. Like they say, every little bit helps.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 11 months ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ
appreciate it thanks man
blackbandana878 11 months ago
@blackbandana878 The muzzle breaks are awesome. When I first shot mine, I got my stance ready only to find out it felt like an AR15. Im sure that muzzle break played a vital part in that

shawnezaz10 11 months ago
@shawnezaz10 Well they they just held on to the gun until Xmas so I wouldn't open it because if it was at my place that sucker would've been open weeks before. Well I previously planned on going tactical with my AK but once I got half way through it I realized I didn't like it. I'm now going old school with wood furniture. Thanks a lot man for the kind words, It's hard for me to ignore people that talk trash. I don't know why people feel the need to do that, it blows my mind.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 11 months ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ
Hey its ShawnE again... this is my new Channel!
I think you are making the best choice by going with wood. That is exactly what my plans are. Russian Arsenal and buy wood furniture.
I can only find an Arsenal for 800 out here.... do you think that worth it? oh and if you have shot since the video... how is that muzzle break?
Godspeed.
SonofJorel10 11 months ago
Ak's are tough PERIOD. Want a fancy gun, go play with another model. I own alot of firearms and love only 2 rifles. The AR and the AK.
martinboyz 1 year ago
Another quick question - Wouldn't the Arsenal SGL21 be a variant of the Russian AK-100 series (specifically the AK-104 that is chambered in 7.62x39), not the AK-47? Thanks! - Mike
3aCCCP 1 year ago
@3aCCCP I do not want this to come across rude so please don't take it the wrong way. However I did say at 2:22 that I wasn't getting into the details, that when people see this rifle they see an AK-47. To me that's all I need, if it looks like an AK-47 and shoots the 7.62X39 then I'm going to call it an AK-47. I know that it's an AK-104 technically but I'm still going to call it an AK-47. Thanks.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 1 year ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ no problem! I didn't mean anything. I'm thinking of buying one. I have a Yugo M70 AK-47 built by Century, and I am looking to get another AK rifle. The Arsenal AK SGL21 was recommended to me and I have been doing some research on it. Whatever the number it is still an AK - Автомат Калашникова/Kalashnikov's Machine Gun. Mikhail Kakashnikov is still alive and well, and working at the Izhmash armory making SGL21s and other variations on his original invention. - Mike
3aCCCP 1 year ago
@3aCCCP I know you didn't mean anything mean. It's really hard to read text and understand where the person is coming from and with what attitude. Sometimes I just reply without thinking the person probably didn't mean any harm. I seem to get the same messages over and over and it wears on me... I'm guilty of over reacting from time to time. So no worries you are all good man. Arsenals are GREAT AK's. Keep my updated on whether you buy one or not, or if you just have questions. Take care.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 1 year ago
What is the length of the buttstock and width at its thickest part. The only mags that I know of that hold the bolt back after the last shot are Yugo mags. I have 13 Yugo BHO 30 round mags and they are great! Does the Arsenal SGL21 take any standard mag AK mag? Thanks! Mike
3aCCCP 1 year ago
@3aCCCP Hey man you are going to have to give me a couple days to answer that question; I seem to have misplaced my tape measure and my buttstock. My house is a freakin mess right now so I'll try to locate everything and get back to you. How do you like the Yugo magazines that hold the bolt open??? Well the Arsenal as no problems with the Circle 10's or a Bulgarian 40 round mag, but Tapco 30 round magazines won’t fit in mine. However, I've heard other SGL21's run Tapcos just fine.

How can you do a review a rifle you haven't even shot?
DEMCAD 1 year ago
@DEMCAD Are you serious? First I off I did say at the VERY BEGINNING that I'm just showing the rifle and "regurgitating some information that I've read and seen online". I will agree I can't speak to this specific rifles functionality, reliability, etc. However I can speak to the facts, which I do in the video. That it has a brand new Russian made receiver, how Arsenal converts it, it's caliber, parts, etc. It's a common understanding that AK's are reliable and Arsenals are top of the line.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 1 year ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ wow never thought id hear that kind of talk coming from demcad..but anyway youre fine bro..forget what everyone says..i have reviews on guns before i even shot them.who said reviews had to be made only if youve shot the gun?who made that up?smh
GunNut12680 11 months ago
It looks good I don't know why people bash it??? Are other AK gas tubes chromelines?
jmmurdy 1 year ago
@jmmurdy Yes I believe some AK's do have chrome lined barrels, I'm not completely positive though. I don't think many people bash Arsenal's, it's a fairly common belief that Arsenal's are top of the line AK's. The people that do bash them are normally those that are jealous, of course they would never admit that, but they are. I don't bash other guns, I don't need to do that in order to make me feel better about mine... but some people do.

MustyYetisTacticalHQ 1 year ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ They had to wait until my Aunt and Uncle said "yes" to taking care of me so that I could still go to school while they were getting the greencard and whatnot. We are also moving because of the Firearm's laws in Canada (Stupid laws = Magazine restrictions (5 rounds), PAL to get firearms, RPAL to get Handguns, Can't own "uncommon" handguns, CANNOT CONCEAL/OPEN CARRY!!!!, etc) You should now be very grateful for being born in the US.

Truthhurts3pm 1 year ago
@Truthhurts3pm Yeah man you have to be careful, especially when buying AK's. There are a lot of AK's out there that are horribly made. You need to figure out which one you want and at least come onto YouTube and watch some reviews. Something like that I would have a gunsmith do for sure, especially if it only costs 100 bucks. As far as I know all you have to do is widen the mag well, but if you screw it up there's nothing you can do. Whereas if he screws it up, he has to fix or replace it.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ 1 year ago
Great review, dude. Breaking it down to every last detail. Most reviews state if the gun is good or not, and never going into the little things. The mag wobble preventing method, for example. Very few people would sadly add that.
Oh, and why the hell did I think it was an airsoft review first? =| Gotta pay attention.
kazetehskylord 1 year ago
@kazetehskylord Hey dude thanks a lot. I try and make sure I cover as many details as possible when doing these videos. I'm sure I left some stuff out but I did my best. I don't know why you thought it was airsoft, I can assure you it is not.

what really bugs me about the sgl21 is that the barrel is extremely thin looking as compared to regular aks
imiritu 1 year ago
@imiritu Well I wont argue with you at all on that one. People have their own tastes, especially when it comes to AK's. Personally I don't mind the smaller barrel, it helps cut down on weight. Now I'm sure the barrel could be ruined if you shoot a large amount of ammo through it. However for my intended use I don't find that to be an issue at all. Thanks for stopping by.

coolbuddykermit 1 year ago

MustyYetisTacticalHQ 1 year ago
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ In what way, the gas tube retainer? If so those are usually pretty tight to start. Removing everything else is easy.
c0boy 1 year ago
