  • BARRY BOSTWICK !

  • I think a blonde Sandy should be a rule after the movie....

  • @pinkishgluestick I think it depends on the talent. Not what color hair you have!

    Im a brunette.

Im currently playing Sandy in my school's first ever musical, and its Grease. thanks!

  • Arlene Philips choreography in the West End version reallyyy puts this one to shame!!

  • As much as I prefer the movie that sandy is talented I hope she can do more in the future

  • holey moley I though Sandy was Rizzo!!! Stupid brunette!!!

  • Didn't like brunette Sandy. I know she was brunette in the broadway. I just prefer blonde Sandy.

Oh and she wasnt as innocent in the broadways version either. She attacks Rizzo and punches Patty.

  • Dammit Janet!

  • @Halsdorf I love you

  • I never realized the guy giving the introduction was Barry Botswick! (Brad Majors!! :D)

  • I love this so much!

  • The addition of this song to the show is awful.

  • I wonder how those girls can dance so well in heels ....

  • I get why people are used to blonde hair and all. Pure virgin maidens have hair of gold, and every harlot worth her salt knows gentlemen prefer blondes. But it's not as if it's a requirement.

  • @rubino83 What?! Just...what?!

  • Hmm...not as good as expected. :( It's like a High School version with a huge budget.

  • Bring on Rock&Roll of 1950s!!!!! BRING IT BACK! Rock on! Best Musical EVA

  • i freaking love the harmony at the very end of the song.... i get chills everytime.... legit

  • We'll always be together gave me chills!!! the dancing and the singing both!

  • I saw this cast and I have a picture with Max and Laura who play Danny and Sandy. I also have both of there autographs. :D

  • Have both winners continued in musical theater or done anything in the music industry since this?

  • Who cares if this show is overdone (which it is) this was still frickin awesome

  • Barry's intro kicks ass, but "Grease" is abysmal; however, "We Go Together" is phenomenal!!! Definitely saved the performance!!!

  • the guys on here are hot and the original they were hott too :)

  • london production kicks this ones ass !

arlene phillips choreography is 100 times better

  • @MattTrevi I dont know what original cast your thinking of, but I hope you realize that Grease was a very unsuccessful musical when it first appeared on broadway. It didn't become popular until the movie came out. I think this is an amazing cast!

  • Sandys suppose to be blonde right???

  • @lenahurt doesnt matter im not blonde and im just llike the bad sandy

  • @lenahurt The Original Sandy was Burnette... All cuz Olivia Newton John was Blonde doesn't mean Sandy HAS to be blonde

  • Ill say it time and time again. Grease is Overdone, Overlyused.. But... This was an AWESOME Performance!!!

  • Give America the chance to vote on something like this -- and its bound to happen; the cast will all sound like people who are supposed to be on American Idol. They all just seem like they're just trying way to hard in contrast to the original cast. Its very American Idolified.

  • Sandy is AMAZING and her dancing is awesome!

  • Sandy have such a great voice!

  • I don't know....I mean it's alright. A lot better than I could ever do but it sounds like they are trying so hard. Like they're kind of yelling the words....

  • Wow, they're great! Especially for newbies :)

  • 1:10 - 1:15 ish don't know if anyone noticed but I'm pretty sure Roger aka RUMP was singin Danny's line and he looked over lol.

  • the ones playing Danny and Sandy are the two people that won You're the One that I want the search for Danny and Sandy.I love them both so much Max And Laura. Both so talented.

  • oh I love sandy's hair. what a wonderful performance! *clap clap*

  • Its funny that for a while Max Crumm was one of the biggest things on Broadway, and now you hear nothing of Max Crumm doing any sort of theatre. Its so sad :(

  • Max Crumm is so sexy.

  • Jesus, Sandy is a human noodle! Look at those splits!

  • Laura Osnes is wonderful. :)

  • erm gotta b honest not the best version of grease on broadway i ever seen lol

  • Hail Max and Laura!

  • Hey, that's Barry Bostwick!

  • EAGAN REPRESENT! It's so exciting seeing someone from my high school on the Tonys! Way to go, Laura!

  • saw and met this cast!!!! laura how i love you!!!

  • Laura was my favorite on "Grease you're the one that i want"!!! Loved that show!

  • "Grease" has been revived more times than Jesus.

  • @cainster Jesus was only revived once.

  • @StupidMaddie137 maybe they're trying to say once is enough?

  • Oh Grease... U gotta love it, right? =)

U just gotta love Broadway all together!!! =D

  • this is a good audio and video but the video sucked!!

  • Sandy's brunette? weird...

  • @jenna110476 In the stage show (which came before the movie), Sandy's character was not a blonde Australian with the last name of Olson. She was created and written as a Polish brunette with the last name of Dumbrowski.

  • @jenna110476 The original Sandy was Brunette!!! Gawsh People... all cuz she was Blonde in the movie doesn't mean she HAS to be blonde.... The Broadway show came before the movie!!!! It's not like in "Wicked" where it specifically says that shes blonde.

  • i was in a production of the original grease at my school (2nd time that my school has done it, and we had the same director and choreographer, and music director) and then like a year we got done with our production, i went and saw the Broadway tour at the fabulous fox theater in st. louis, and i kinda liked it but i love the original version better than the one with the songs from the movie sprinkled in...

  • How do they dance in those heels...? *_____*

  • @rozenkristal327 I know! I love to dress up but even then I wear flats so I don't fall over, lol

  • we just finished our production of grease at our school. it was sooo much fun!!! i just wish it would have lasted longer : (

  • I saw the original production of Grease -- my mom took me as a treat and it was wonderful. While this production is fun its sad to me that songs from the movie were put into the play. I wish they had stayed true to the original

  • @levimom so did i and it was amazing

  • *points* It's Brad!

  • I love that Sandy is such a good dancer. She's so light on her feet. I love it. And I know Grease is a "Every high school in America does Grease" show but It's always fun to watch it. So happy and up beat. <3

  • @michkay1 U forgot Canada too!

  • @michkay1

And on them stilettos too...I always had a respect for girls who danced like that on heels like those...

  • @michkay1 youre right about the every high school in america does it :P

Im in my second production of it! and Im playing Sandy for the first time<3

it has been the best experience ever! tomorrow is our last show and Im gonna miss it terribly

  • awesome!!

    gotta love grease..

  • some singers are a little icky.. but the dancing of the leads is hot :) and we go together was real good too.. but the singing solo was.. icky.

  • @dragonman12981 if you think musicals are lame, then why are you searching and watching them on here?

  • the girl who plays sandy is HITTING those dance steps, she's hella good.

  • .,i love this musical... nxt to guys and dolls...

  • I love it!

  • so excited! doing this musical at our school! im only in the chorus now, but one day i hope to be on that stage!!

  • I didn't catch Rizzo meesing up. I caught the small one on the right clapping her hands together when the girls were in shadow and the mic clearly picking it up though.

  • I'll say that Youre the One that I Want was an improvement over All Choked Up, which I maintain is pretty much unlistenable for me (Bostwick's caterwauling did not help!), but I rather liked the Alma Mater opening. Ah well.

  • Comment removed

  • i love how the girl playin sandy can dance and sing like hella dance thats what i like to see

  • WHO decided to revive this show...

  • i am a grease fan, but this play doesn't look very good

  • just saw this (touring cast) yesterday, and normally im not a grease fan, the best revival of it ever, i enjoyed it more than the movie. ahhhmazing

  • We don't care if danny is not hot! It's fucking cool!!

  • fuck me she carnt sing !

  • It them. Max and Laura from the reality show. During that show they thought that Laura's brown hair was cute and would make for a different sandy. Hance the brunette Sandy in the revival.

  • WHAT a brunette sandy???

  • yeah in the orignal broadway play she was brunette but they made her blonde in the movie

  • I was Danny in Grease recently. We did the Original Broadway version. Aside from being sick for all the three shows, it was SUPER FUN!

  • Grease is freaking classic.. I love it

  • is danny played by max from "grease: you're the one that i want"? and sandy by laura osnes? looks like them.

  • I'm fairly certain it's them.

  • Probably. It'd be kinda silly to have a big reality show to find the new Danny and Sandy and then not cast them in your revival.

  • I wish they did summer nights

  • Full leather pleez Sandy !

  • Wow... This is actually a pretty good performance.. Very inventive for a popular show like grease...

  • I love Grease I was in it for our middle school play and I was Rizzo

  • I love Grease! But seriously is has be revived a lot! I wish a lot of other shows would be revived for a change!

  • was megan mullant in this.or was it cause she was in it years ago.and they invited her back

  • megan MULLALLY was in the last version of Grease, before this one.

  • no matter how many time sthey put grease back on broadway it will nver amount 2 the movie

  • Actually the play came before the movie.

  • There is actually a lot of people who know grease was on broadway, it was a very popular show until the movie came out, then the movie was the popular, credited fad.

  • This revival was amazing. I loved it and I think it should have ran longer. but then again, how many times has it been revived now? I think some more shows need to be revived for a change

  • here's the problem with grease on stage. its a shame but its true. whether it be your high school or the broadway revival. 99% of people aren't going to be satisfied with grease on stage because no matter what, you are going to compare it to the movie, and it'll never match up. it sucks because the show didnt start out as a movie, it was on broadway first. but the movie was what made it good, to be fair, the original script compared to the movie is sucky. sad truth.

  • I discoverd Grease when I was something like 14

but Grease was really on Broadway fisrt?

    I really had no idea..

it's a shame...I'm pretty sure there is not a lot of people who know that..

  • this was great!

  • I saw the the revival with Rosie. It was a lot of fun.

  • they could have picked better songs

  • i honestly think they should've put greased lightnin in there because that song is probably one of the best songs in the movie !

  • this isn't the movie! it's the broadway show, they have more songs than the movie.

  • i know that! im not stupid ! its just that i think they should have done out greased lightnin in the performance too

  • put ! not done out ! (sorry if u think im yelling @ u . im not.)

  • ...horrible....

  • I never got really into the revival, just the reality show. But I seriously don't mind this! I like it.

  • I'm sorry this performance was just dreadful. This revival was dreadful. There's no energy. Nothing at all. And their singing leaves me speechless-- but NOT in a good way. Just look at the energy and vocal ability in the performances given by the other three AMAZING revivals: Gypsy, Sunday and South Pacific-- there's no comparison. Even Best Musical nominee, Cry Baby, which wasn't a good show, at least had a great cast and a tremendous amount of energy. And they had much, much less to work with.

  • I love this show. So much. Great performance!

  • Characters shouldn't be determined by the actors who play them, it really shouldn't matter about the actor, its how they portrait the character surely? Personly I thought this was really good

  • 2 things i didnt like about this when i saw it on tour. #1. Your the One that I want- That song was written for the movie and just doesnt sound right when sung by anyone else but Olivia and John.

#2- Taylor Hicks- what was he doing out there?!

other than that i thought the production was a BRAVA. though i think touring sandy was blonde. Why are they making such a big deal about the hair color? it hardly matters that much.

  • I totally agree, I loved the show, but what the heck was Taylor Hicks doing there?? seriously?? no lol he was so underwhelming.

  • ray quiin is in the west end of greese

  • Not Gonna lie, but this performance was okay, the show sucked for a Grease production which is sad cause its supposed to be a good show

  • omg sandy hassssssss 2 be blonde

  • No she doesn't The Original Broadway Sandy (Carole Demas) wasn't a blonde. She was a brunette, just like Laura Osnes is in this video.

  • wot??? the original sandy is olivia newton john and always will be.... i hate wen musicals try their best to ignore the film version wen infact thats wat audiences wana see live on stage.... p.s. i do like these actors... just think sandy shud always b blonde, its just a must have with grease, the same way danny has his walk... blonde hair coincides with sandys character and mannerisms....

  • actually Olivia was in the movie. she wasn't the original

  • and the original had brown hair, not blonde

  • omg stop being so petty. everyone see's the film as the original, it will always be the foundation and basis of the show. get over it. sandy shud be blonde... full stop...

  • they ignor ethe film version beacuse they want to make it a musical version

if they wnt to do the movie version they may aswell put a DVD pplayer on the stage :/

  • the movie is a damm musical. I understand its got movie traits however it doesnt matter what one person says, an audience watching grease on stage is always looking out for those things featured in the movie/musical!!! end of...

  • If every revival tried to copy the original, we'd never get anywhere. the point of revivals is to reinvent while staying true to the heart of a show

  • umm you can speak for yourself, but the broadway show came first, and maybe you don't know anything about broawday show, but don't say all audiences want the show to be like the movie, some people know about the stage and broadway

  • i think it was worth watching,

i think the men were great

the women were too old and sounded squeky just my op.

  • barry botswick, brad from rocky horror picture show

  • ughhh i watched the show for this..they had a contest for this to see who could be on brodway to play the two main roles of sandy and danny but as soon as i saw the two picked i knew the production was going no where but down hill. The reviews werent that great ethier!

  • Errr, where was sandy? :L x

  • 1st Female is Sandy...

  • She was the first girl who sang.

  • im almost pretty sure the rizzo messed up

  • where?????

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • asdgfkjiunjfvnfvffvou jvhvvvvjv

  • actually its broadway.

  • Guys- Grease is great and all, but yah, this... this just wasn't very good.

  • Ok, critic. Where are the major flaws?

  • I`m not trying to start something, I`m just saying I`ve seen a LOT of versions of Grease, and this was not really Tony material. It`s just my opinion.

  • I voted for Max on the show. But I'm biased as I know Max. :-D

  • My sisster was on the show (Allie) I voted for her and Max

  • whos playing rizzo here??

  • jenny powers

  • i'm going to a musical theater camp later this summer and this is the show! i'm so excited! it will be so much work though!

  • I thought it was pretty good; I'd love to see the actual musical rather than the movie, since that's the only thing I can compare this too and I know the movie probably isn't near what the original musical was.

  • Barry Bostwick is the best Danny. Enough said.

  • This revival is just so....2008-ifyed. You know what I mean? The costumes they're wearing are the 50's but everthing else is SO 21st century.

  • yeah I agree. The retro 50's vibe inst really visible too me. It doesn't give me the same feeling as the movie does. Maybe its the cast.

  • It really isnt a kids show. Im in it and its really fun! Too bad that the song Grease isnt actually in grease. And i hate how much the movie twisted the show.

  • Grease is not a childs show my sisster plays Rizzo in grease on tour and once my mom got me a set in the audiance with my aunt and they had to ask the age of some of the children before they let them in.

  • They were absolutely terrible...

  • woow yall are crazy, grease is a tough musical to live up to and i think these guys did a pretty awesome job. the tony perfomance especially was wonderful, plus did you not see all the dance steps at the end from the part of sandy?!! id like to see some of yall haters try that crazy fast choreography and NOT fall on your faces.just cause the cast makes it look easy doesnt mean it is, so stop hating on this great grease cast!!

  • does sandy have black? wth?

  • It's her ending 'bad sandy' costume.

  • what a horrible cast the children s show i did of this was better

  • it's not that horrible...of course John Travolta's version will always be be the best...personally, i don't like this new version that much...but i think i'll give them a 5 out of 10. don't hate me...that's my comment

  • Actually, John Travolta isn't that great of a singer. I find John Barrowan's rendition of the songs better every time... But, this cast wasn't up to snuff for me either... I love the music... I just feel that it takes a certain caliber of performer.

  • Well...the saxophone is really good.

  • i don't like either sandy or danny's voices... not a very great cast, in my opinion. and it's all because of that stupid 'you're the one that i want' show that picked the two mains. bad choices.

  • god i hated this show. i went with a group of 50 people, and we loved all the other shows i saw, but no one liked this. i've never seen 50 people so disappointed...

  • i like how laura does that thing at 2:04-2:07 its hot
