We were largely a happy nation on our way for greatness and the so called "intellectual" traitors took it away from us.

The revolution was never by the poor or for the poor. The picture of the Shah and Shahbanoo @ 2:20 on the wall of one of those poor people's houses proves my theory.

@amet1980 Islamic Arab culture has had good and bad effects on Iran. Arabs have contributed immensely to the world in their golden age through mathematics, astronomy, and so forth. It's just the natural decline and rise of extremism that has ruined Iran. Don't forget that before the Islamic Revolution, Iran was as well Muslim, it's not Islam or Arabs that are to blame, it's not so "black and white" as they say, it's very complex, the first place to start is not 1979, but 1953 ;)
