@krunk1586 I agree - you would never hear this here in the U.S. She should be wayyyyy more appreciated as an electronic pop artist in general. I also like that she uses a stage name and prefers to remain a faceless entity, rarely making videos and promoting an "image"...just letting the music take on a life of its own.

interesting intro, followed up with good vocals, edited or not. that's pretty rare when looking for new artists, usually the intro's good but they stretch it out too long and/or it stops being remotely good once the singing starts. I love the sound of this, yes it's formulaic but not in a bad way, it's got a good pace that stops it getting boring, and I doubt it was meant to change your life. it's a nice break from the "soulful" screaming and warbling in the charts people mistake for emotion

i love italo disco but am appalled by imitation that doesn't add to the original style. where is the fire? i guess much italo was made at the time to MAKE MONEY imitating a collage of popular styles at the time so this still works.. but she is hardly a visionary.

Sally Shapiro is over-hyped. It''s formulaic immitation of the past. She just can't sing it's always filtered voice a way or another thanks to autotune. It's for pre-teens maybe

@bissia EVERYTHING is "formulaic" now - the wheel can only be re-invented so many times. Everyone's been bitching "today's music sucks bring back the 80s/90s" then when somebody goes back to making "good" music people start bitching that it sounds like a re-hash of some past genre. Make up your mind people - Do you want to reinvent the wheel and possibly hear shit that barely resembles music?, or hear something with a believable song structure that will probably run the risk of sounding retro?

I have nothing against inventive quirky uneasy-listening sonic experiment nor retro sounding structured stuffs and I also know where to find new stuff with no cliché filtered vocals and by new I mean from this or recent years. Any more patronizing over any subjective personal stand? The wheel was invented once, then refined. Not everything is formulaic.
