I love this version. The synth overdubs and the Simmons drums add a whole new 80s feel to it. I remember buying the single the week it came out in 1986 and recorded it straight to tape to prevent crackles and pops. I've still got that somewhere!

happiest of my childhood memories was watching Robin of Sherwood and Doctor Who every saturday evening with my parents. in the United States you'd have to watch PBS to see this stuff and that was the only channel we had no cable, ariel antenna...the good ol days lol
