You give excellent instructions on how to do flat twist. However, I believe your video would be even better if you do just a little editing, i.e. eliminating the beeping smoke alarm distraction in the background. Please do not take this comment personal because I would really like to see more instruction(s) from you.
Thanks for doing this tutorial!! I am going to try them again. I am not perfect with the twist yet but I appreciate the tips. I hope I get better at them from watching your video.
Found a previous video on how to flat twist and after watching yours again for the countless time I have to withdraw my previous statement and say that THIS is the best tutorial on 2 strand flat twists! I can actually do it now, thank you very much!
Thank you so much I honestly could not cornrow or flat twist for years and after watching your video it only took me 2 tries and my twist were perfect.
I could never figure out why my flat twist were not coming out neat on my damp hair, & today after blow drying my hair they came out a 100 times better.
@LICKPIMP i didn't really know how to do flat twists and I believe she is doing an excellent job. Do you have any videos out to show how it's "really" done?
Very good Tutorial! I always do the regular flat twists, but I think I will try the 2 strand method because it will last longer. Thanks. I did do this on my mom b4 tho. Just did box braids on myself! Happy New Year!
thanx for the tutorial! you did a really good job explaining how to do it. I tried flat twists in the past and couldn't figure out how to do them right, now I know.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was finally able to do this to the front of my hair. However, do you have any advice on doing it on the opposite side of your head? They came out great from the middle to the right of my head, but the left side took me several tries just to get them to look ok, but not as good as the other side. Either way it still came out a whole lot better than my last attempt. Thanks again!
I would like to know if you can recommend any low foam shampoos? I will look on the net for unrefined shea butter, but I like for my hair to smell good. I don't live where I can go to the store and by our kind of products, thus why I have used relaxer for so long., So any product lines that I can look up on the net. Thanks again! :)
Have you tried Aubrey Organics or EO Products, they are natural and doesn't foam up much as the ones with chemicals in them. As far as the shea butter go to Butter n Bars com. The smell at least for me goes away very quickly, plus you can add other oils and essential oils to your shea butter to give it a different scent. Go on ebay and search for essential oils, or a natural or nutrition store should have them too- Whole Foods, Good Nutrition. They sell Aubrey Organics and EO at Whole Foods too.
You make a very informative video! :) I would like to see more of the two strand twist styles. I am growing my hair natural after having cancer treatments. I no longer trust the chemicals. What products do you suggest?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I am a white momma with an Ethiopian daughter who came with 1/2 inch of hair. Now it is quite long and ready to be braided or twisted. Hopefully I can do it, but your tutorial certainly helps me out A LOT!!!
I Just Have 1 Question..When Yu Part Your Hair &+ Grab The Two Strands Of Hair..I Lose The Hair Trying 2 Get More Of Myy Hair As Try 2 Move 2ward The Bakk Of The Scalp..
lol I have started. So I have been wearing my hair in a ponytail with my hair. Washing it 2 every week getting it ready lol(im not doing the big chop LOL) I will just grow my ends out and cut them. Since im pregnant(this is the best time to go natural) SInce you cant relax it will pregnant. THANK YOU LOTS!!!
I went natural the first time when I was pregnant. I started to refuse a relaxer 6 months before I conceived my child. I kept braides and corn rows in it which were so convenient and it grew so quickly that before my child was a month old I was able to cut the remainder of the perm out and have a pretty nice sided "afro".
Great tutorial...I'm a little confused. After the first twist I pick up some hair as I'm getting ready to twist again but I notice that as I'm going down the twist I feel hair on the other side. Am I doing it wrong??? Please help :D
Do u mean there is hair coming out of the twist u already did? You just have to keep the hair separated and out of ur way as u go, and make sure that u are grabbing all the hair that is supposed to b in that twist as u go. Thx
hey girlie where u at
